App won't even get past the splash screen. When it did I was constantly getting "there is a problem playing the video" error messages... UPDATE: Weeks later and now it lets lme login butocks up my entire tablet whrn I try to play shows. I would look at other streaming services at this point. Netflix has become way to problematic in recent years. Not to mention, when it did briefly work a month or so ago, I was getting yet another error, saying "this device is not part of your home group".

You can no longer scroll to the left to easily access a menu for searching, categories, and other general use options. The movie icons are so big that you can only see four options at a time. You were previously able to more. It takes so much time just to find what you want to watch now. I switch to other streaming services just for the ease of use. May be cancelling soon. Please revert to old UI.
Don't watch any series cause they'll just cancel it. Netflix is only good now for movies (That's subjective) and limited series. Other than that it's been garbage. And to top it off with their price increases, streaming restrictions. They've truly shown that they don't care about good content. Just that you keep paying them. What an abysmal platform now. They could have been great but chose the money grabbing route (enshittification).
I wish I could give this app a zero star rating. I am abroad for a couple months and because the place I am in doesn't support the ad-free plan I can't use the app because Netflix just wants more money and doesn't seem to care about good user experience. plus the new addition of having so many ads is so scummy, what's the point of using this when you get the same ad filled experience on youtube for free?
Great selection and app other then the listing/categories is very annoying. I don't like the categories in rows as side scrolling isn't as easy or as common as vertical scrolling. There is no way, that I can see, to list only a specific genre. The UI definitely needs work and can't even run in the background!! This app isn't long for being paid for if this keeps up.
PLEASE give us dialogue-only English subtitles in addition to English [CC]. CC clutters the screen with sound cues like [door creaks] or [music playing], which is distracting for the huge number of us who want subtitles for clarity, not full captions. Netflix already offers both options in other languages (German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese). Surely more people use English subtitles than all those combined. Please escalate this feedback
TERRIBLE app/streaming service. If using on my phone, the ads interrupt and skip 10-15 seconds into my show/movie. I rewind it, and it makes me rewatch the ad and still skips several seconds of what I'm watching. If I use it on my TV, it will automatically play the next episode of a show when I'm only halfway through the current one. I don't know how it can be this terrible of an app when they were once the biggest streaming service. Trash.
So netflix allows you to pay extra for multiple profiles on your account. But they've changed it so that all your accounts MUST be used at the same address or they lock up your login forcing you to use two factor authentication and tell them why you're logging in from somewhere else. If im PAYING for multiple profiles I should be able to have them logged in ANYWHERE. Yet another reason to switch streaming services.
I appreciate the huge volume of content for the price compared to other services. My only negative is that I can't mark shows/movies as "watched" so the zillions of choices include things I've already seen. I finally made a Google doc to track what I've watched, especially movies, so I don't start watching & then think "I've already seen this!" Netflix please provide the option to mark content as watched like other services do. Show/Hide watched content would be nice too.
Not a bad app... definitely better than some others. One very helpful function I'd like to see added... on your "Continue Watching" row, when you tap the three dots and it brings up a menu, please add the option to "share" from there. This saves having to do a search for what you want to share only just to be able to share it. Also, if I only have one profile on the app, why do I need to keep choosing it? The app should start and go right to the main screen without having to tap my profile.
yes they have a decent selection but good GOD. Do not believe their lies that there aren't "that many ads" on the affordable subscription. I genuinely think they rig it to where the first couple of things you watch wont have very many ads but before you know it, you'll be watching a horror film with at least 10 immersion breaking, nod ruining ads. it literally makes it not worth it. I'm so tired of these companies charging so much for the subscriptions.
What happened to this app? Netflix is NOT cheap. So youd think I'd be able to do the basics. Rewinding, pausing, fast forward, ect. Pressing play on the show you choose to watch. Not the case at all. Netflix freezes or crashes anything you attempt. I don't remember it being like this in the past. Can't handle how big it has become perhaps? I have cheaper streaming services that don't do this. Why keep spending money on this one?
Does not play, freezes and sound goes but the screen doesn't. I have tried uninstalling/ reinstalling, I have tried downloading the episode. I have also tried on both wifi and mobile data but it still does it. Add that in with the fact that I cant open Netflix in my browser, I have to use the app and it is more frustrating. It's already annoying that we can't use the mobile browser but it's even more so when your app is also useless.
The app CONSTANTLY freezes when casting, randomly restarts itself, disconnects from casting for no reason, and often disconnects on my phone, but continues playing on my tv yet I can't control the pause or stop to turn it off. This is the only streaming app that does this and it's EXTREMELY ANNOYING!!! For the amount of money we pay each month for this service, the app shouldn't be such garbage!
Really close to canceling my account after over a decade of having netflix. The level of GREED netflix continues to display and act on is disappointing. I can no longer access my account on multiple devices. Instead it wants me to add a member and of course pay more when already paying $16 a month. Disappointing and ridiculous. Honestly, I guess this will force most of us to go back to basics, owning physical copies of our favorite TV shows and movies, instead of paying to own nothing.
There are a lot of things that have become annoying about Netflix, but most of those things are annoying about all streaming services. However, not being able to cast to my TV on an ad-supported plan is app breaking. The usability of the service is entirely shot without being able to watch on my TV screen. There's literally no point in having it anymore, I'm not going to watch movies on a phone. Cancelling, this was a terrible cash grab idea for y'all.
When watching on a console, the frames will get pixelated. I have gamer wifi, so I know it isn't a wifi problem. I will close the app and restart it. Sometimes that works but often it'll start with high definition and then 5mins later it's pixelated again. Also, this is the only app that takes 3mins to load fully. I have HBO, Hulu and YouTube. All three of those apps have no pixelation issues or loading problems. NETFLIX SUCKS
Netflix has gotten greedy and the content is not worth it. The change to limiting Netflix to one household prevents me from using the app while traveling. Their help page states that you can cast. But their app doesn't even provide the casting option so that you can. If you have a job where you travel often, then you are paying for a product that you can no longer use properly. On top of that, the content has gotten extremely poor that Netflix no longer is different than watching regular TV.
After paying for the standard subscription, I came to know very soon that even though you're a paying customer, Netflix still restricts most of the movies and shows that I want to watch. It didn't clearly state in the subscription that you had to get the ad free subscription to have access to all movies and shows. This is deceptive and basically burglary of my hard earned money. What's the point of paying for something that doesn't even work properly?
I like Netflix, but there's a lot of major issues I have. I think it's kind of ridiculous to have an ad version/no ads version now considering they used to always have no ads. and the fact that Im not able to cast Netflix to my Chromecast because I didn't pay for no ads is stupid, and there's content on here that you need to have the ads free version to watch. and you need to be in the same home to be able to access the account?? stupid. you have some good Netflix originals, though.
