So here's my honest take on NetShare - no-root-tethering. I've tested a bunch of tethering and hotspot apps, and this one's pretty good. It's got a nice set of features that make sharing your data connection way more convenient. And the WiFi repeater mode is especially useful if you're trying to extend a weak signal. The free version has ads, which can get old, but it's not a dealbreaker. Overall, it's a solid option if you need an easy way to share your cellular data.

Pros

  • Create a portable WiFi hotspot to share your cellular data
  • WiFi repeater mode helps boost weak WiFi signals
  • No tethering fees or plan required
  • Works on Android 6 and above
  • Free to use, though ads can be annoying

Cons

  • Ads can be intrusive in the free version
  • Took me a while to figure out all the features
  • Might be overkill if you only need to share data occasionally

Description

Been using NetShare – no-root-tethering for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you create a WiFi hotspot to share your phone’s cellular data connection with other devices. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do: you can turn your phone into a portable WiFi hotspot, even if you’re already connected to a WiFi network. There’s also a WiFi repeater mode that can help extend weak WiFi signals. It’s got some cool features that make tethering a lot easier than the built-in options.

Look, if you need to share your data connection a lot, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the ads can get annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re tired of your carrier’s tethering fees.

Won't even start the hotspot. My room is far away from the Wi-Fi and never gets connection, so I wanted to set up one phone halfway and use the other,...

Works great. Create a text document with the command that has to be run, and save it with a .BAT extension to streamline connecting to the network. Edit: This connection...
