Look, if you’re into highbrow arts and culture, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the app can be a little buggy sometimes and the writing can get a bit pretentious. But overall it does the job. Worth checking out if that’s your kind of thing.

So here's my honest take on New Criterion. I've tested a bunch of arts/culture apps and this one's pretty good. The content is really well-written and covers a ton of interesting topics. I like that it's not just dry academic stuff, there's a good mix of serious criticism and more accessible commentary. At the same time, it can get a little up its own butt at times with the super intellectual language. And the app itself has a few issues - it crashes occasionally and the navigation isn't super intuitive. But if you're into that whole high-brow cultural scene, it's worth checking out.
