Been using the Newark Advocate app for a couple months now. It’s basically a local news app that covers everything from community events to high school sports. Pretty solid if you’re into staying up-to-date on what’s going on in your area.

Here’s what you can do – there’s in-depth articles, tons of photos and videos, and you can even read the digital newspaper edition. It’s got push notifications for breaking news and you can customize the content to your interests. Took me a while to figure out all the features but it’s pretty user-friendly overall.

Look, if you want a convenient way to get the latest news and info about your town, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the ads can get a little annoying if you don’t pay – but it does the job well. Worth checking out if you’re looking for a local news app.

So here's my take on the Newark Advocate app. I've tested a bunch of local news apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The variety of content is great - you get everything from community stories to sports coverage. And the app itself is well-designed and easy to navigate, which I appreciate. On the downside, the free version has more ads than I'd like, and I found the push notifications to be a little overwhelming at times. But those are fairly minor issues. In my experience, this is one of the better local news apps out there and I'd recommend giving it a shot.
