I understand the attempt at making the new UI more engaging or visually appealing, but the core features and functionality kind of took a hit. Personally, I like to see the score of a game that's in progress, the record of each team, their schedule - past and upcoming and stats for the games. That's pretty much it. If it did nothing else, I'd be fine with it. Now, some of the fonts and icons are large and bulky and the way the page even loads after clicking on a link is sluggish.

← Back to NFLIt crashes often. Navigating through the menu can be too much for it. I clicked hide scores. But it was willing to show them to me on certain areas anyway. And have the courtesy to show the win loss record change instantly to spoil you also. The NFL is great at monopolizing their content in a way to sell of maximum garbage.....and we eat it up. No customer service either. It's just so awful. If my Mom wasn't using it, I'd find a better way.
This app is atrocious. it stops working while you are watching a stream, and then you have to go out and back in to get it to work again. It freezes and lags, better not click multiple times, it will lock it up. It was very frustrating watching the draft last night. I missed a couple of podium announcements because of this, and almost missed a few more. very unsatisfactory, especially when they ask you to pay for this service.
Not notified about renewal! I usually get a notification when renewal comes, but I got nothing, and my account was charged. I was going to cancel this subscription because you hardly get to see games, and if you can manage to see them, they have a delay to them worse than TV. Would love to know how to get refunded for something that doesn't work as it should.
Often worse than bootleg streams, an insult to fans. NFL should be ashamed. Just another example of being lazy and putting bad product out there because there's no other option. It regularly gets confused if you're logged in or not, will ask you to log in when you already are. Games regularly freeze even with great reception or hooked up to WiFi on the newest model phone. It has constant issues with trying to minimize or maximize videos. It has slide up/down tabs that don't work. Frustrating.
Updated Aug 2025: As seems to be usual, when preseason starts, the app doesn't work correctly on my newer phone, which is the only way I can watch live games. As this will continue, I decided that if that was the case this year, I would end my subscription. It took several updates to get it to work last year, and I did not like the changes. Works fine on an older iPad, but that won't work for live games since that is connected via Wi-Fi only. No sense paying for that level of service.
This app, from day one, has not provided a single clear streaming experience of any kind. Every time I bring it up on my TV, no matter what show I am trying to watch, it stutters, pixellates, goes dark, and then I get a playback error. Every time. Even Paramount+ is better than this. All other streaming platforms work just fine, and my TV is compatible with this app. Extremely disappointing. Actually, this is BEYOND disappointing! I have never seen a more worthless app! Complete joke! AVOID!
Every single week for 2 years. The app makes me sign back up for red zone even though it will show on my account that I'm already subscribed. I just don't get to watch Red zone. I literally pay for it and I never get to watch it. They're totally fine taking the money, but you know actually updating the website so you can watch it. No. This is absurd. 2 years update. The app freezes every 5 minutes during the draft. they can't even handle the app flow from an event where they just read off names
absolute garbage. the worst app I've ever dealt with. never works I pay for NFL plus to watch the preseason games couldn't watch them at all it constantly just said error and stopped working when you went to rewind fast forward or pause it would never work. tested multiple different apps at the same time they all worked flawlessly it is not the Wi-Fi. I want my money back NFL
My 4th 1 star review....1. Never works correctly. 2. Gave it another try. It will not let me watch + features event though I've paid for it (yes. I checked). I'm in the correct account using correct password. It logs in then when I select something it kicks me to the subscribe page. I've tried to reset in-app purchases. This app is a money grab. Pisses me off every year. You'd think I'd learn. Don't do it.
Not great currently. Replays of entire games START with the games at around two minutes and just kind of error out... until they don't. Clunky all around. Giving NFL+ 1 month to improve and then I'm out. I want to like it but as with so many things NFL, they really go out of their way to make you hate yourself for watching/paying for it sometimes. Oh well, there's always RedZone I guess. Update for 2025: One star. Should be illegal to charge money for this app. Wish I were kidding.
Useless If I was just really jonsing for an app that would freeze and quit 7 minutes into watching a replay of a game, and then making me go back into the app, getting back into the game, making me skip forward to find where I was, only to have it freeze and quit on me again in another 7 minutes all so that I could start the mindnumbing cycle of trying to watch a game in peace over again, then this would be my app. But, i dont want that. Its 2025, I'm appalled by the sheer incompetence.
Y'all's app has the worst video player known to mankind. The sound is awful. I can't turn up the sound within the player, so even with my volume all the way up on my phone, it just plays at a pitiful whisper. edit, now you can't have the tiny video player at all. like if you're watching the game, and you close the app out to answer a message, theres no longer a pop up player. just exits the app entirely. if you make your phone go sideways, sometimes it just keeps formats. worst app development
It's great when I can use it. I've had this app a few years and now all of a sudden I have to pay double to get my account back. I paid the bill through play store as normal and it still asked me to pick a plan. I'm not paying twice. Why take my money if I gotta still pay once I sign into my account? It says to sign in within 3 days and I have done that. I'll change my rating when this is corrected.
absolutely useless...can't watch it on my tv because they want me to link it to a TV provider. there's no point in having this app if Im going to use a TV provider to watch football anyway. can't cast without a third party device. glitchy. screen calibration is a nightmare. hella slow but it's quick to take my money that comes with all these problems...I would like to rate it at negative number plz
Last year, I had issues while trying to watch game replays, which is one of the main reasons I purchased NFL+. I was hoping it would be fixed for this season, but we're not off to a good start. I continue to get an error message about the network connection. If I close and reopen the app several times, I can eventually get it to work. The live games play without issue, but I rarely watch them on the app due to them being on TV.
I bought this to watch preseason game replays and was hoping to use it for RedZone. But it won't work on my TV at all. I have tried for two days - uninstalling and reinstalling, checking for updates and permissions, hard reboots. It acts like it is loading but then the screen goes black and it crashes. It works (slowly) on my phone but still won't even let me cast it to the TV. I just paid to watch half of one live game before it quit working. What a waste of money. I've already canceled.
Worst ever! I signed up almost a year ago. I could watch a few games but they were mostly tailored to what I wanted to watch. Yesterday it worked fine. Today I can't replay a game. My current subscription is active for three more weeks. So I subscribed again even though my current subscription is active but I still can't watch. So with two subscriptions I still get the subscribe screen instead of the game. Customer service is a joke. Junk
If I could give it zero stars, I would. What is the point of me paying for another subscription if I can't watch the out of market games, which is the whole point of getting this in the first place. The app is so sluggish that it is borderline useless on both my mobile devices and my Xbox series X. This is the worst app and subscription purchase you could make. After a year away and the app somehow got worse. I can't watch the team that I want to watch and I'm forced to listen with a radio.
interface is super busy, actions not intuitive. 2 stars bc I've been trying to reset my password for a week, and can't get access outside of one TV, while the IT team gives me the run around when they DO reply. yes, I've tried all the resets. most of us know to clear the cache. YOUR WEBSITE ISN'T WORKING to reset passwords. yuck. won't subscribe again.
