Real talk - I've tried a bunch of these anonymous Q&A apps, and NGL's probably one of the better ones. The interface is clean and it just works. But here's the thing - they're really pushing that Pro subscription hard, and I'm not convinced those 'hints' about who sent messages are all that accurate. Been testing it with friends, and sometimes the hints seem pretty random.

What bugs me is how they're kind of vague about their moderation system. Sure, they say they filter out bad stuff, but I've still seen some iffy messages slip through. That said, it's less of a mess than some other anonymous apps I've tried. Would I pay for Pro? Nah. But the free version's decent enough if you're into this kind of thing.

Pros

  • Super easy to set up and share with friends
  • Actually works with Instagram stories without being glitchy
  • Decent spam filtering compared to other anonymous apps
  • Free version has all the basic features you need

Cons

  • Pro subscription feels kinda overpriced for what you get
  • Those 'who sent it' hints aren't always reliable
  • Gets boring pretty quick if your friends aren't active
  • Moderation could be better - some mean stuff still gets through

Description

Been messing with NGL for a few weeks now, and it’s basically Instagram’s anonymous Q&A feature on steroids. You get your own special link that you can share anywhere – Instagram, Snapchat, whatever – and people can send you anonymous messages or questions. Pretty simple concept, but it’s weirdly entertaining.

The way it works is super straightforward. You just share your link, and folks can ask you anything without revealing who they are. There’s some basic moderation stuff to keep the creeps out, which is nice. They’ve also got this ‘Pro’ subscription thing that supposedly gives you hints about who’s sending messages, but honestly, I’m not sure it’s worth the money.

Look, if you’re into social media and don’t mind a bit of anonymous fun, you’ll probably dig this. It’s basically like those old ask.fm days but with better features and safety stuff. Just keep in mind it can get a bit boring if none of your friends are using it. And yeah, some people might use it to be jerks, but that’s kind of the deal with anonymous apps.
