Tried it blindly without looking at the reviews and I cancelled the subscription after 10 minutes. Their support team won't give a refund even if they state a 30 day money back guarantee. UPDATE: I was given the refund, but the process wasn't straightforward. I had some back and forth with the support to achieve it simply because my subscription was done through the web instead of the app.
Reviews for Nibble: Your Bite of Knowledge
They should tell you upfront that there is a charge. This is going to affect further interest in trying an app. I just wasted 5 minutes answering questions to only get to a payment screen and uninstall the app. Create a better model if you really want long-lasting subscribers. I would like to have tried it, totally risk-free for a week. In other words, don't make me cancel, but invite me after a week. I hope this feedback helps. It sounded interesting.
I liked this app, but the cost is too prohibitive. Kinnu and other similar apps are free, why not this one? And why immediately charge your card when starting a free trial, why not the day after the free trial ends? Sketchy. There are plenty of other free bite sized educational apps out there. Edit: Yes, I have Android and when you try to subscribe for the free trial it tries to charge your card. I had to immediately cancel the subscription to get it to go away and only do the free trial.
I looked pretty cool in the advertisement. At download, it is described with in app purchases. What it didn't mention was that a subscription is necessary. a free trial, then a one-time option to buy permanent access might even be acceptable, but to have to pay per month for access is not anything I want.
Saw an ad for this app on Facebook, I'm a trivia buff so I thought why not. Create an account, choose your interests, the app generates short 10 min learning lessons on the topics you picked. I tried a lesson in a subject that I know quite well. The grammar and syntax was a little off (not an English app), I speak American English. I didn't mind because the content was accurate and explained well. Starting to delve into topics I want to learn more about.
why don't you people make it more clear that this isn't a free app?! yeah it says "in app purchases" but that doesn't always mean they're not optional. I went through the whole questionnaire and made an account with my email address only to find out its a subscription which I could do without. now you guys are just gonna harass me since you have my contact info. thanks a lot.
SCAM. do not download. I haven't had it in a while, but I bought a subscription back in the summertime. its probably bad for me to say, and they may patch this after mentioning it, but the only way I was able to cancel the subscription is through instagram internet search, where u will see the fake botany ads. they will try to make it impossible to cancel the subscription. there are no games in this app, and there are only basic sciences that doesnt include any botany.
This was the greatest waste of my time and money. I am an educator spanning experience from middle school to high school including advance placement courses. I thought I'd try out nibble as a possible credit recovery or reteach of core concepts. The coursework offered by nibble was rudimentary at best and the interface was more elementary than what is possible with an app of this type. Not only will I not recommend this app, I will actively advise against it. A waste of money!
Do not choose this app especially if you are depressed, have anxiety, or only want to better yourself. I tried to get a 7 day free trial period and I accidentally chose a different payment plan which then of course will cancel out your free trial period and you will be charged without getting a free trial period. If I were going to choose a payment option it would be the weekly one until I found out I liked the app and definitely not the yearly one
Do not download this, even for the free trial! I canceled my subscription the day before my trial ended, was charged the $97 dollars anyway, and was not even given access to the full app! When I log into my account and click on the "see all" button, it literally tells me to either pay for it or start the free trial! They are not even giving me access to the services they wrongfully charged me for! I have been back and forth with their support team - no help.
