Reviews for Nike Run Club - Running Coach

I think that this is app is very good for introducing beginners into running. I think that it is very nice simple and easy to use. and the runs are quite enjoyable. and there are so many to choose from. I do wish that it would include recovery after a run, and strength training that help with your runs. but still an amazing app.

Nike Run app is easy to use, and its GPS tracking is accurate for both pace and distance. It’s a great tool for runners of all levels. However, it loses a point for not supporting some popular running shoes (like the ones I wear), which makes it harder to track my runs in full detail. 4/5 overall!

To Much talking. The speeches during runs are entirely to long and to frequent. There is no chance to get into a groove with the coaches constantly chatting your ear off. There should be an option to turn this down or off. Yes, I know there is non-guided run. This mode doesnt give interval indicators. The GPS is absolutely awful as well

Coach Bennett has completely changed my view of running as an adult. I ran a lot as a kid and was competitive through highschool, but never was able to stay consistent since I graduated. Having the guided runs and the pre-planned programs is so helpful for someone getting back into running. The app itself is super easy to navigate and use. Highly recommend for any runner— beginner or advanced.

It's absolutely horrible, and I'm tired of giving it more chances to have my correct info. It's hard to believe this app has me at an almost 24 min mile while I'm on the treadmill with the indoors setting on and at a pace of 10:54. I installed this app to be a part of a challenge group to help me get ready for the marathon, and this has demotivated me so much, and I'm tired of it. Now, I won't have a group to work with, but it's not worth keeping this app.

While I appreciate that this app has free training programs, it is virtually unusable if you want to track your run. The GPS on my phone is significantly off and has overstated multiple runs by over half mile for a 4 mile run. I have check battery usage, background info, etc and it is way off. Side by side with my smartwatch, I know it's not buildings or a view of the sky. This app just processes GPS data wrong and it makes using it as a tracker useless. Tested on both S24ultra and pixel9pro

Overall really good app, with just a few minor nuisances. I've used the 10K and 1/2 marathon training plans with solid success. They have a nice variety of workouts, to keep training from getting stale. Primary gripe is that about once a month, a workout log gets wiped out/doesn't record. Minor gripe is that I find the audio coaching on the guided runs to be too chatty for my tastes. I'd prefer an option with just the start & stop times for intervals, without the "rah-rah" stuff.

I have loved this app since I started using it, but in the last few weeks, it's stopped recording my mileage or only recording a tiny portion of it so it's messing up my tracking. I've enjoyed listening to some of the guided runs, like using the simple timed portion, but I find it extremely frustrating to get finished with a run only to find nothing recorded. I've checked all the settings, made sure it's updated, etc. Nike is a huge company. This shouldn't be a hard fix.

Now I use Strava instead, because this app constantly logs me out. And then every time I log back in, I have to re-enter my height and weight. or reset settings. I just want to be able to hit run, and go! UPDATE 2025 still an issue. The app just logs you out and requires an annoying log in process and 2 factor authentication... Just to track my run lol. update: new updates app, still have to log in every time and half the time I have to close the app and restart. Strava all the way!

The guided workouts and runs are a great feature! My only complaint is that sometimes, especially when doing guided runs, the app doesn't let you end your run. It just loads forever while the time keeps ticking, even though it should be paused. A little annoying, but that's the only issue I've come across. Otherwise a great running app!

I like it. I do wish the posts of runs had filters or sorting capabilities. Selecting "All Runs" just gives a list of over 300 that are on the list haphazardly. For instance, the half-marathon training shows up with something like, "12 weeks to go" then "7 weeks to go" than "3 weeks to go" but you de to scroll easy down to find "1 week to go". The ability to sort/filter would make this app much more user friendly.

The app definitely has a lot of positives for being free. Overall enjoy and recommend. However, I did a guided 30 minute interval, and it refused to let me stop the run after I finished. Only way to leave was to discard the run. It also should calculate the actual intervals, it was taking my pace during the rest times as the 1:30 and :45 timers all just ran consecutively.

Its a great app for being free. Ive used NRC since 2012 & theyve fixed lots of issues over the years. Some things added, some removed, but it has most of the stats anyone would look for (I cant seem to find split times, only pacing). Its also cool that it provides coaching for all levels of exp, but i wish there was a way to limit the "encouragement" audio clips during the guided runs. I like it at the end of my run, but it rarely matches my music vibe. Otherwise great fun app. I recommend.

This app constantly doesn't track the correct mileage, simply closes for no reason at all, or freezes and won't calculate your final mileage and forces you to discard the run completely. On long distance runs or challenges this is extremely frustrating because not only does it look like you didn't run at all it makes it extremely hard to calculate where you need to work on. You can't see your correct mileage times to find out your inconsistencies.

I have been using Nike Run Club for years and it is my most favorite running app. Its easy to use, accurately tracks, and customizable so I can be notified how I am doing on my run. I also love the colors change with the miles you run (im in green almost to blue) The only thing I wish it had was the ability to write data to my phones health app. Or maybe that is a down side to the health app I am using. either way, it is still my favorite.

Something is seriously wrong with this app, for being such a big name company someone dropped the ball on this app. It's literally made to track runs and is really struggling to do its one job. It's so frustrating to follow a program only for runs not to be recorded or for the app to keep crashing. It keeps logging me out, too, and now when I try to log back in it sends me on a loop back to the log in. Get it together Nike, FIX YOUR APP!

I've been using this app since 2018 and it hasn't let me down. even with no service while on deployments it's able to track me and when I got back to the barracks with wifi it updated and the route was very accurate. I recommend you get this and have some friends tag along for some motivation 10/10. NOTE: if you like to take breaks durinf runs, set the auto stop function to off in the settings menu.

The app keeps freezing. It will start calculating, and when I go back to end, it's still on 0.00 miles. I have spoken to customer service to no avail, and I even sent them multiple screenshot, and they were no help. I asked if they could add the miles lost, and they could not even do that. I have to keep reinstalling the app for it to work correctly for a few days and then stop again.

Guided runs are have become so buggy. There's nothing quite as frustrating as running 7 minutes into a 12-minute tempo rep just for the app to come in and say "1 minute down, 11 to go!" This is going on for months with no fix. At this point, it's the app that goes. UPDATE gave it another shot for a week and I'm just wondering: who does the coding for this app? When I hit stop, it should stop. I shouldn't have to force-quit the app just to get a run to finish.

Great app for scheduling and tracking my runs. I do wish they could add an audible distance marker for the interval speed workouts. I don't have a track to run on, so it's hard to keep looking down at the phone to check if I've gone the 200 or 800 or whatever metered distance while trying to keep the workout pace. I definitely like the variety of runs in the library. Keep adding more!
