So here's my honest take on the Nintendo Switch App. I've tested a bunch of companion apps like this and I'd say this one is pretty solid. The social features work well and it's super convenient to be able to add friends, check who's online, and view your screenshots without having to boot up the console. The downside is that it can be a bit unreliable at times, with some occasional crashes or connectivity issues. But if you're a regular Switch player, I'd recommend giving this a try. It's a nice little companion to have.

Description

Been using the Nintendo Switch App for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you do all sorts of Switch-related stuff even when you’re not playing on your console. Pretty solid app if you’re into online gaming and social features.

Here’s what you can do: you can check which of your friends are online and what games they’re playing. There’s also the ability to add friends even when you’re not on your Switch. And you can view and share all the screenshots and videos you’ve captured on your system – no need to pull out the console to see your stuff.

Look, if you’re a big Nintendo fan and play a lot of Switch games, you’ll probably get a lot of use out of this app. It’s not perfect – there have been a few times where it’s been a bit buggy or glitchy – but overall it does the job and is worth checking out.
