Reviews for Nintendo Switch App

in it's current version, this app won't even open. Nintendo, just let Discord handle your online chat. Sony had similar issues with the PS3 because of the cultural difference in social gaming networks. This app is garbage even when it does open because it only lets you talk to your party when in game, and only in game. If the game is transitioning from a lobby to the game, or vice versa. The Switch is the best console on the market in my opinion but that's severely damaged by the social features

The app works great for voice chat or the extra features for Splatoon or Smash but it's seriously lacking. They should add in the full eShop so you can buy games and have them download on your Switch. We should be able to add friends and message them or invite them to play inside the app for any game with online support. There's a lot of potential why not build upon it.

This app is good at what it does, but It proposes a problem: "What if I want to voice chat with my friends?" That might sound simple, just text them on discord or something, but what if you only know them on the switch? You can't communicate to them AT. ALL. the only way you can is if you both are friends on animal crossing, which is hard. Its good for its job, but nintendo really needs a text-chat feature either on the app or on the switch itself. We just need to message our friends. That's it.

For what it is, it works fine, and the only main issue I really have with it so far is that you have to be playing a game online before you can connect the voice call to your friends. That being said, this could have been avoided if controllers such as the Pro Controller supported microphone input and stream to the game audio into your headset like the built in Xbox voice chat does. This is subject to change, but there is definitely a lot of work to be put into to this

Useful for "pre-downloading" content by adding it to your wish list. Main focus is on in-game voice chat through your phone. But basically no stranger has ever said anything productive or worth listening in these chats. If you have the phone numbers of your friends, you could just use group call. Or even Discord. Otherwise it's fairly useless.

Super ticked. How can you continue to send me promotional emails, but you can't send a verification code email? Tried the consoles, the app, the website, all of it. I've loved Nintendo since I was old enough to play games, but I'm done after this nonsense. I've tried everything to get into my account, and they will not send a verification code email! I have been trying for almost a month, and they won't even reply to me anymore. Forget Nintendo, bro. PlayStation it is from now on.

Great app, but I don't have much use for going into it, because Nooklink only has SIX items to purchase. Kind of lame considering you get 10 coins each time you check in. Once you have all the items, there's zero reasons to continue to do it. It takes away a lot of the Daily Do's fun that Animal Crossing is known for. I'm pretty sure everyone would greatly appreciate some more items to try and get, AND would also get more users to go on the app AND encourage others TO BUY THE SUBSCRIPTION!!

Good where it's used, but not the best. Still, has everything that is Nintendo there for you. Jack of all trades, master of none. The paid service is often regarded as poor, due to the need for purchase and mediocre service. It is understandable to an extent, such as working off of WiFi, though many times I've been temporarily banned, kicked, or just outright abruptly disconnected due to the online suddenly just stopping. In comparison to Discord, which has no such issue, this is odd at least.

I use it for the NookLink feature. It can be a easy way to communicate because sending messages via the in-game way isn't the easiest. There's also the island news that has a daily turnip selling price tracker and the only official one. There's also the daily reward coins to buy things you can receive in-game which is neat. You're able to scan codes that were originally 3DS to be transferred to ACNH and read back tips you missed like the in-game app. I feel like there could be more to it though.

Should've gave this to the console, not the phone. If ur gonna use voice chat, u can call each other. I'd rather them put the app on the console and it's an app that's always open(so u can play games with app still running) and u can voice chat on any game. Or create parties and simply play a single player game while talking to ur friends. This had potential, but it was wasted.
