So here's my honest take on Noir Pro: USB Camera HDMI Link. I've tested a bunch of video apps and this one's pretty solid. The pro features like LUTs and waveform are great for more advanced users, and the core functionality of using your phone as a display works really well. But it's not without its issues - the ads can get old fast and some of the advanced tools have a bit of a learning curve. Overall though, if you need a reliable USB camera app with a ton of customization, this is one of the better ones I've tried.

Description

Been using Noir Pro: USB Camera HDMI Link for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you use your phone as a portable display for HDMI devices like gaming consoles or cameras. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do: you can connect your phone to an HDMI source using a USB-C capture card, and then use Noir Pro to view and record the feed. There’s also a bunch of pro features like 3D LUTs, waveform monitor, and edge detection – took me a while to figure those out but they’re useful. And the app-specific volume control is a nice touch.

Look, if you’re into video production or just want to use your phone as a portable monitor, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can get annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
