Horrific experience! I paid for a week, and I was then charged without my consent for a full year (on the same day, so there was not even a question of that happening once the week was up). They refuse to refund me for something I did not agree to and a service I am not using. I advise anyone against using this app as you might get scammed out of a lot of money without even knowing.
Reviews for Novelmates-Stories&Novels
DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP...... it's a waste of money.... i paid for the subscription of this app for a week and in just a day i can't open any book it only shows "loading failed, please try to reload" and when i reload, nothing happened.. though i have a good internet service provider
Stole my money. I wanted to see what the different subscription options were and when I clicked the button it automatically charged my PayPal. I have it set to approve purchases and it never asked me. 129.99. I did not have that much in that account.
Not worth your time or money. The books seem poorly edited and not well written. One book had 3 different unfinished stories in it. I wasn't able to find a way to leave a review for stories read so either that function doesn't exist or it is hidden in the app, which is suspicious because the books apparently have ratings. Both the stories and the app seem rather poorly put together. There are plenty of free apps and websites where you can find books of the same or better quality.
I enjoyed reading, however after reaching a certain chapter it says "Network Is Unstable. Please Try Again" & a "Tap To Reload" button but it doesn't work. At $10 a week & connected to wi-fi & unlimited cellular data, I know there is no problem with the connection. And the only help is a group chat in whatsapp Fixing to cancel my subscription.
no way to cancel subscription! don't waste your money because you will want to cancel your subscription, I promise you. they tell you you can cancel anytime but when it comes down to it, they done have that option on the app! i tried canceling via appstore but it's not on there either. very frustrating. save yourself the time, trouble, and, more importantly, you're money! ridiculous!
First I go to subscribe 29 cents a week to my paypal and the bank fraud dept calls wanting to know if I authorized a $129 payment - the yearly price. I said no. So I thought maybe I chose the wrong option. I go back and .29 cents is grayed out and only the yearly option is lit, so I switched to Gpay for $6.99. I go to authorize and it shows $14.99. This is fraud. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
loved the book I read, just wish it wasn't soo over priced to read books, any kind of book. PayPal has been trying to charge my cashapp $9.99, multiple times a day for a couple of months now, even though I have tried to cancel any and all possible subscriptions to these ridiculously overpriced e-book app subscriptions. over $300 in 2 months one of the book apps has been attempting to take from me for cancelling after the affordable trial ended, so I had no choice other than to block PayPal.
BEWARE - The first week I got VIP it worked fine. After that I paid for 2 weeks VIP (once thru Google Play, and thinking I did it wrong when it didn't work, once through the app), and I still can't access the books. It acknowledges my subscription but won't allow access to the app/books. There is no customer service and no contact info for the developer. Google refused to refund as well.
The app says 0.10 to subscribe, and 9.99/week, but that's a lie! False advertising for initial cost makes me distrust anything else that they offer.... It says it in more than one place including on the subscribe button, then tries to charge you 9.99. Ridiculous. I was willing to give it a try at the trial rate, but, in not trying ANYTHING that represents one price and attempts to charge you a completely different price with a 100% markup. I feel bad for the people who fell for it.
