Description
Been using NWS Weather Report for a couple months now. It’s basically a weather app that uses forecasts from the National Weather Service instead of just computer models. Pretty solid if you’re into keeping up with the weather.
Here’s what you do: there’s live radar from the NOAA network, plus 48-hour radar forecasts. And you can customize the maps and overlays, and it’s got all kinds of advanced radar data like reflectivity and velocity. It’s got forecast discussions too, so you can see the reasoning behind the predictions.
Look, if you’re into staying on top of the weather, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can be a little annoying – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on NWS Weather Report. I've tested a bunch of weather apps and this one's pretty solid. The forecasts are more accurate than a lot of the computer-generated ones, and the radar data is super detailed. And doesn't have all the flashy features of some apps, but it covers the basics really well. Only downside is the ads can get a little intrusive if you don't pay. But for a free app, it's definitely worth a look.
