bought the pro version as wanted to check faults ect, came up with some fault codes but has their own coding on it so you click it to find out the "how to fix" and you get absolutely nothing, the codes it was showing didn't even show up in its own database. reason I cancelled the pro and won't go back as it's got nothing extra except giving readings on running stuff. I wouldn't recommend in my experience.
Reviews for OBDocker – OBD2 Car Scanner
this is a rip-off. I signed up for a 3day trial and was charged 47.99 for a year subscription. this product does not support my car or year. it is a shameful act to bait and switch during an advertised link that's supposed to allow you to see if the product is worth keeping and in my case it was not.
installs and connects. that's it unless you pay. they rely on people doing a free trial and forgetting to cancel trial. you cannot do anything unless you sign in and buy. absolutely pointless installing. absolute con asking for monthly subscription. what happened to good old fashioned pay once to buy a product. shame on you!!
Pretty useless without purchasing the full version. You can see only a battery voltage and your vin number for free. Shows you your error codes as U0***** so you have to pay to be able to see that code in full. All other Diag apps give you full error codes even in their free version. Shame on you, dev!
Disappointing. I bought the subscription to enable me to turn off the service light in my car after I changed the oil and filter. It said I needed a subscription to try the feature, so I paid and then it didn't work! I appreciate I need to pay, but the software should be able to check this first before fraudulently asking for money. Either it works or it doesn't.
This app was good for the first month, then all of a sudden the features I enjoyed such as reading the FULL trouble code vanished. This feature is now locked behind the more expensive subscription, which makes zero sense. I'm left to wonder what value I gained with my $18 yearly subscription for one month of service.
clunky to use and does not have vehicles loaded in the database for my Kia past 2019 (and we have something in the twenties). in the free version, anytime the app is not actively displayed on your screen, you have to close The app and reopen it and then reconnect to the Bluetooth in order to conduct a new scan. if I went to check a notification on my phone and then came back to this app, the screen was blank black and it would not refresh or reload until I reloaded the app.
took forever to read codes, only then will it tell you to see them you need to pay for the app.
Easy to use and setup. Worked perfectly.
great software, works on most cars and lots of features
