Reviews for OkCupid Dating: Date Singles

2017 Cheverolet Equinox

subscriptions are incredibly overpriced and don't give you all of the benefits promised. I accidentally swiped left on someone and the rewind button didn't do anything. After deleting one account and trying to make another, my phone number no longer worked even though it was no longer associated with any accounts. I currently have no access to the app due to the fact that I cannot create an account with my phone number anymore.

The app makes it easy to change your location and it is full of users with fake locations who want to immigrate to the US. It is also full of catfish scammers. And there are profiles from people who uninstalled the app. To see who likes you for free, remove all your filters (distance, age, etc) and go to the recommended tab, swipe until your likes reach zero.

Used to be by far the best dating app out there, now it's just about as bad as the rest of them... Since MatchGroup took it over they've gradually eliminated every feature that differentiated it in any significant positive way from any of the others in their portfolio, and unfortunately they now own almost every dating app of any significant size on the market (the only notable exception being Feeld, which you should definitely check out instead if you're ENM/poly). Not going to miss it at all.

The app is buggy. I can't look at any of the intros people send me, even one at a time. It's much more functional on a desktop or laptop than the phone app, which is fine for me, who last used this platform in 2013 and remember it best on the desktop. I've always liked that I have prompts to answer that showcase more personality, but the AI tools the company uses claimed an image I uploaded of a friend and I hiking next to a waterfall (that was absolutely PG) was "inappropriate" smh.

I'd give the app 0 stars if I could. Came back to it after years, and man, did it change for the worse. I get limiting certain features as a way to incentivise people to get a premium subscription to access more features, but I can't even view my likes in the free version? Also, I had like 15 likes almost immediately upon finishing the sign up process, which is definitely odd. I know things move fast on the internet, but 15 likes within 10 seconds of joining? They're definitely inflating likes.

The app used to be decent. I received a lot of responses from people from outside the country and a few scammers. Their paid A-List subscription changed to a "Basic" member subscription in which they removed features A-List members used to have such as being able to see who liked you. The "Premium" members that pay a lot more money now have those features. I do not think it's worth it. They charged me recently for an a-list subscription a couple of days ago but I don't have access to anything.

423 Questions seems to be the limit, as it's not giving me any more. They need to add functionality to select more than one pic to upload at a time, gif support for messages, etc. Also, swipe sensitivity is excessive, I've accidentally swiped left more times than I can count, barely touching. Distance preferences mean nothing, apparently. It also has a bad habit of saying it's my turn when I sent the first message! Also seems to be a visual limit on the Block List.

Still see commercials despite the hefty sum I paid for "premium". Several features are still not included despite the hefty sum I paid. Once expired, I'm done with this archaic app. The app was dead. Started receiving "likes" one week before expiring. Using algorithms to get me hooked and pay for an app without potential matching is far from my intentions. Bye!

Even if you pay for premium, it doesn't upgrade you. There's no phone number to reach them at, just emails. The app crashes all the time. This app was so much better when you could rank how important questions were to you and write more on each one. Still a cool way to connect with people, but could be so much better.

This app is the biggest POS of all the apps out there. the customer service sucks too. the phone verification process with the code always says my number isn't valid, and I can never sign in. even with trouble shooting, it still doesn't work. I paid for the app, and suddenly, I couldn't sign in. DO NOT PAY FOR IT. THEY WILL ONLY SCREW YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY
