So I’ve been testing Olive for about two weeks now. It’s basically a video chat app where you can match and talk with random people from all over. Kind of like Omegle or Chatroulette if you remember those, but with better filters and more focus on actual conversations.
The way it works is pretty straightforward. You set up a quick profile, and then you can start matching with people who are online. There’s this swipe system where you can choose who you want to video chat with, which is nice cause you’re not totally random-matching like some other apps. The video quality’s actually pretty decent, and they’ve got these fun filters and effects you can mess around with during calls.
Look, if you’re looking to meet new people and don’t mind the whole video chat thing, this might be worth checking out. But real talk – like most of these apps, you’ll run into your share of weird folks and time-wasters. The free version’s okay but they really push the premium stuff. Still, it’s better than a lot of similar apps I’ve tried.
