Reviews for OMRON connect

I bought the blood pressure device because it said that it would integrate with Google Fit. The physical blood pressure device is great, especially for the price. The connectivity however doesn't work, for me. Done tech support twice, not sure they understand what's going on either. At the moment, I'm exporting the data via Excel, which works well. But having to manually key the data is what I bought the thing to try to avoid. So that's disappointing.

1. Manual entries does not allow entry of, nor does it download, # of irregular heartbeats. One of the features I need to track. 2. I've got 11 readings stored. "Sync" should pull them all down, all data (i.e. irregular HB count), along with date-timestamp. There is no need to open the app for every measurement, other than you failed to design for efficient use.

This app worked great for well over a year, then suddenly, it stopped. It will record a reading, but history no longer works, then I realized nothing works. Everything I click on is unresponsive. Not sure what happened to it, is it my phone, or the app? I don't want to delete it & reinstall it because I'll lose all my history. I can't access it, so I guess it doesn't matter if I delete it & reinstall it.

This app is no longer working on my Pixel 6. When I open the app, I can't access anything, the screen is frozen. All my blood pressure and weight data is stored in it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. UPDATE: The app is now loading correctly. I'm having a problem with my most recent weight readings not syncing but I think that's because I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and those are weights I took before re-pairing the scale to the app.

I've been using this app on a Pixel phone. It's ok if all you want is BP/pulse readings transferred from cuff to phone (mostly works but often says it can't transfer, try again). The diary function would be great to have except it's character limitation is short and 9 times out of 10 it doesn't save your entry and you have to re-enter it all again. When trying to export data to an Excel or csv format, good luck getting the dates you want and no chance of getting more than 26 weeks.

The old app was clearer, easier to understand, and did more... but you can't use it anymore. I don't like when the manufacturer forces you to "upgrade" to new devices, or apps. I expected to have to unpaired my monitor and pair it again, but there is absolutely no reason that you have to give location permission now. It connected before by Bluetooth and it still should, but won't unless you give permission for location access. Perhaps it should be called mandatory instead of permission, which implies that you have a choice. You don't... except for the choice not to use at all. It used to connect to Walgreens app to aid in bonus points, it no longer does. When it transferred my readings, some of the trueread listing now show all 3 readings, and some just show a single. You can tap the single reading to show all 3, but then on a different day, it records all as if they were separate readings. The graphs are smaller and harder to read, you also have to scroll through to see the year as others noted. What seems to be missing is that before you could tap on the year and see the average reading in numbers, now you just get the dots and no actual numbers. You should also be able to change the levels, because what is normal for me, would be considered high for others. You can't do that. In general, this is a perfect example of "if it isn't broke, don't fix it", well they did and now it is broken and not nearly as good. For one of the most popular and most recommended by doctors monitors, this is awful now and as always, that is the truth.

Very good experience until around a week ago. Now my readings no longer automatically go to the app even when I push the sync button. Even worse when I go to the app I have to re-sign in and re-pair my wireless cuff and the readings that I've just done still don't transfer over. Needless to say when I redo my readings I'm pissed off and my blood pressure goes up. This is extremely frustrating, PLEASE FIX!!!! I've had this machine for a year and until recently it was great. Now it's torture . :(

Inconsistent synchronizing. Have to press the bluetooth button on the machine about every third session. Other than that, easy to use, export feature is great! In response to Omron support: Autosync has been turned on since I set up the app 8 months ago. The phone is less than 10 feet away from the monitor. Autosync works most of the time, just not ALL of the time, which is why I said it's inconsistent. Since I'm not a beta tester, I won't be helping you troubleshoot.

I am comparing to the older version which was much more user friendly. The auto sync is awful. It causes the app to run in the background and use resources when they are not needed. The rollout of the new version was without warning, I could not save my data, a d was less than seamless. The help desk at Omron was friendly, reassuring, and competent when reached by phone.

I downloaded this app for controlling a piece of hardware, it's asking me to create an account and provide a wealth of personal information before I can use it. Avoid the app, or find a better brand of blood pressure cuff that doesn't put ridiculous prerequisites on using their products if you haven't bought yet. Having looked at some other reviews - no, the fact that one feature justifiably requires an account doesn't justify requiring an account to access any other features.
