Been using onX Offroad: Trail Maps & GPS for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you find and explore off-road trails, whether you’re into 4x4s, ATVs, dirt bikes, or just overlanding. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of thing.
Here’s what you do: you can browse maps of trails and public lands, filter by the type of vehicle you have, and even see if there’s any free camping spots nearby. There’s also a compass and GPS tracking to help you stay on the right path. And the app has a bunch of layers like wildfire and smoke data to keep you safe out there.
Look, if you’re an off-road enthusiast, you’ll probably get a lot of use out of this. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little clunky at times and the free version has some limitations. But overall it does the job and is worth checking out if you want a solid trail navigation tool.

So here's my take on onX Offroad: Trail Maps & GPS. I've tested a bunch of navigation apps and this one's pretty solid for off-road use. The maps and GPS features work well, and I like how you can filter trails by vehicle type. The added layers for things like wildfires and air quality are also super useful if you're spending time out in remote areas. The main downside is that the free version is pretty limited, so you'll probably need to pay for the subscription to get the most out of it. But if you're a regular off-roader, I'd say it's worth the cost.
