Description
Been using ORB-12 The Planets for a couple months now. It’s basically a cool little watch face app that shows the 8 planets orbiting the sun. Pretty solid if you’re into astronomy or just want a unique look for your smartwatch.
Here’s what you do: There’s a watch face that has the planets arranged around the edge, and the background is split into the 12 months of the year. The planets move around the face to show their current position in the solar system. There’s also a moon phase indicator at the bottom. Took me a while to figure out all the features but once I got the hang of it, it’s actually pretty neat.
Look, if you’re into space and astronomy, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can get a bit annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want a unique watch face.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on ORB-12 The Planets. I've tested a bunch of these space/astronomy apps and this one's one of the better ones. The graphics look great and it runs smoothly even on my older phone. I like how there's a good amount of depth with the planetary orbits and moon phases, but it's not overly complicated. Definitely a step up from the basic planet apps. Only real downside is the ads can get old after a while, but you can pay to remove them. Overall, a pretty solid option if you want a unique and informative watch face.
