Edit: After using this app for 3 years and moving all my recipes, I was notified by Google that the subscription is going from $11.99 annually to $27.99 annually. WOW!?! 2020: LOVE this app. I've been looking for something to help me organize the pile of printed recipes, web bookmarks, and box full of notecards. This app checks ALL of my desired features. I initially began playing with the free app, but purchased the subscription to allow me to use multiple devices to input all my recipes.

At first, I really loved this app! It's easy to use easy to add recipes. But I've discovered that unless you want to pay $30 every year, year after year just to use the app you might as well forget it. I found another one that does the same thing, my recipe box also very highly rated easy to use and add recipes, but this is a one-time payment of $8. Much much more affordable for most people!

edit: After using the app for over a year I changed my rating from 5 to 2 stars - #1 the web version is very mediocre, #2 the mobile and web version are now priced separately, when I bought the app originally that was not the case. So much for compatibility. This is not a good experience. Will be looking for better app. Truly Great App. My recipes were all over, from Google docs to handwritten notes, and I was always short on an important ingredient, because I couldn't remember where I'd put the recipe and what on Earth was in it. I'm now fully organized and ready to take my cooking experience to the next level.

*Edit* I've had the purchased app for a year and it's still awesome! By far, the best recipe app I've used and well worth the purchase. I thought it was important to do a year follow-up and say that the subscription costs are worth it as they go to development and support. I've contacted support several times and they fixed the bugs really quickly. Also they've come up with new features like scaling ingredients which I use daily. Please support the small team of developers they're great!

I'm not someone who writes reviews, but this app is amazing and needs more people saying so. I purchased the lifetime app for my android devices as well as a web version subscription. I had previously used Allrecipes almost exclusively for the last 16 years. That app is a nightmare to use now, while this one is a dream. Transferring recipes from other sites was a snap, and they transferred completely. Now I can see recipes without tons of ads or blog entries that go on and on. Very happy.

Excellent organization of my recipes! And it's also connectable to online websites where I no longer have to rip recipes out of my Food & Wine magazine I can just download them into the app. You have options to take pictures and upload them , get them from the web . It's one of the easiest apps to organize my recipes that I've ever used and I've tried several. Another good part is that the screen doesn't time out. The cost is more than fair and The support team is awesome!

I wasn't sure if this was going to be the platform for my digital cook book. But I was so wrong. I LOVE how I can add a recipe from a website so easily. No more print outs. And I have even entered in my hand written ones or others I have gathered. I have had to enter a title, save and edit to get individual ingredients/steps to list format. But it is a MINOR issue that doesn't cause me more that a sec of inconvenience. I am so happy with this app.

It's nice to have and I look forward to being able to share recipes with family that are around now, and possibly new family members in the future. It is helpful and even if you use the free version you don't have annoying restrictions like most apps do. Being able to find other recipes and save them within the app is also very helpful. Edit: Honestly, that isn't a big deal, I am greatful to be able to have a space to keep important recipes even if there is a certain amount 😊

Just what I was looking for to catalog my drink recipes. Will use it for food too! Yes, it's for cocktails. I'm a licensed at-home bartender. Having something I can pull up recipes on my tablet and phone has been a years long search. I just click on the beverages icon, and it has worked like a charm. Absolutely genius! I have had this app for YEARS! It makes adding a recipe on the fly a breeze. You can import, type it in, or take pictures of a recipe and put it in. you can file them in categories, add tags like Low calorie, or low carb (or whatever else you may need to use) and can even add files if their pre-added folders don't work. I share my recipes with other users in my family, and even when we ran into an issue, their support is amazing. Fast to respond and even the creator helps! A++

This is an amazing app! I love it! No more being at grocery store wanting to make something specific for dinner, only to realize you forgot your recipe at home. I can just pull it up on my phone right there. Also, very helpful at parties when, someone likes what you brought you can show them the recipe or just have them load the app and swap recipes back and forth. I also have a tablet mounted to my kitchen cabinet and I use this app on there everyday! It's so great, thanks for creating it! 😁

I absolutely love this app. I love the format and it's super easy to add recipes either manually Or online.It's also easy to share recipes with a friend through text or email. I had about 50 recipes and then I switched Phones. I had a hard time getting my recipes imported because I had put my email down wrong. I contacted the developer and the problem was fixed very promptly and I was able to import all of my recipes again. Great product, great customer service. Definitely worth getting.

Was really enjoying a app that I thought WOW I finally found something here! A place where I can easily store & organize all the recipes I like! & in truth this does seem like a great app but I first found it on my desktop & only after downloading a certain number of recipes to it & deleting the old method as I went (bad idea) then I found out how much it is! That it's not even just a one time fee! I'm semi-retired & therefore on a somewhat fixed income & do cannot spend $$ this way.

I am still new at navigating and using this app and web version, but I am totally LOVING it so far. Well thought out, easy to use, and the developers are so awesome to be so clear in the pricing and tips. Update 02/2025: This app still deserves 5 stars! It has made mine and my husband's lives easier when we meal plan and are at the store. So many times while grocery shopping we begin to crave something. So, a simple glance at the app has made for some happy bellies in our home.

I am thrilled to have found this great app to organize and store all my digital recipies! It is easy to manage, and I am also adding my old recipie cards here as well. I love cookbooks, but always end up searching online for new recipes, and now have 1 easy place to store and find them rather then random notes and links which I can never find again

So I love this app. I've been looking for something like since forever. It organizes all your recipes, let's you view ingredients, cooking steps, meal plans it, and more without so much as you breaking a sweat! My only complaint is when I add recipes to my shopping list, it weirdly organizes them. It'll put garlic in the frozen section, or meat in the dairy, or even canned goods in 'other' would love to see this fixed.

I have been searching for a way to keep my recipes organized and in one place. This app is exactly what I've been looking for. It's incredibly easy to use, I can go from my phone, to a tablet and my computer and it provides multiple ways to upload recipes quickly and efficiently. I love having everything easily accessible to me at all times and the organization is unmatched. I've been uploading all of my recipes and this app has been phenomenal. This app is absolute perfection.

I love that I can copy-paste recipes, and this app automatically adjusts it to an easy to read and organized format. I also like that there's a place for a link of where you got your inspiration, notes and for a picture. Another thing is that this one has the app but also a wonderful website version where you can sync all your recipes from your desktop to your phone and vice versa. I also plan to print these recipes to have paper copies which this app allows as well. It's has everything so far.

updating my last review.. : I've been using OrganizeEat for over 4 years and I love it love it love it! I use it primarily for storing and managing recipes. All my favorite cooking sites, New York Times, Bon appetite, etc are simply imported to the app making it so easy to save and organize my favorite dishes. and now this includes Instagram, yay!! and if I see a recipe I like in a cookbook or in my moms notes, I take a picture and snap, it's in my app. Highly recommend!!

I love this app and I paid the annual fee because being able to organize my food for my diet is essential. However, I'm struggling with the grocery list. It would be really nice to be able to go in and edit it (move things around because having fish in 3 categories is unuseful, allow it to send a double recipe to the list OR edit individual amounts.) I spent the last week inputting all my recipes for my special diet and now I'm going to have to do my grocery list a different way. 😢
