I’ve been using OS Maps: Explore hiking trails for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that gives you access to tons of hiking, biking, and running trails all across the USA. Whether you’re trying to find new places to explore in your local area or planning a big thru-hiking trip, this app has got you covered.
Here’s what you can do: You can search for trails near you or in specific areas, and it’ll show you detailed maps and info about each one. There’s also different map layers like topographic and aerial views, so you can get a better sense of the terrain. And you can save your favorite trails to easily find them again later – that’s been super handy for me.
Look, if you’re into the outdoors and love finding new places to hike or bike, you’ll probably really like this app. It’s not perfect – the maps can be a little glitchy sometimes and the search function isn’t the most intuitive. But overall, it does a solid job of helping you explore and plan your next adventure. Worth checking out for sure.

So here's my honest take on OS Maps: Explore hiking trails. I've tested a bunch of hiking/navigation apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The maps are detailed and the trail info is super comprehensive, which makes it easy to discover new places to explore. And i like that you can customize the map views to suit different activities. On the downside, I've found the app can be a little buggy at times and the search isn't the best. But for a free app, it's definitely worth a download if you're looking to get outdoors more.
