If it were possible to give less than a star, I would certainly have done it. I'm a beta tester for computer applications. The problem with this app is I put things in my shopping cart but as soon as you do a search to find one more item everything goes away and it restarts and you have to sign in again and put your password. It dumped out the 18 items I selected. I tried a couple of times and decided I have to order one item at a time and check out. This app is bad. I will let Scan know.
Reviews for OTC Health Solutions
← Back to OTC Health SolutionsThis app completely needs to be taken down and reworked. It is horrible and filled with so many bugs. It crashes or refreshes any time you open another app over it, which makes it stop you from logging in repeatedly until you get luck if you have to do an email verification at random. The balance page fails to load. You also can't place an order from a distribution center, so if the store nearby is out of something indefinitely, you can't get it - Like a specific size diaper.
I just placed an online order for a grocery item through this price gouging app and guess what! It went through, no problem! But, yet, when I tried paying for groceries at Kroger for items costing much less and using the correct payment procedures with my so-called virtual card-declined! I'm not some bumbling, fumbling senior. I know when I see a potential scam. Update: I've read other reviews so went to Walmart and product scanner worked fine but payment still FAILED with virtual card barcode.
It was difficult to sign on. It kept giving error messages, and it kept freezing. If I didn't have free over the counter benefits, I wouldn't use it at all. The category sort didn't work, and I had to dig through 900 items to find something even worth getting. Wal Mart is cheaper.
Very difficult to navigate. If you click on product to get further info, and you don't put it into the cart, the app does not take you to the page you were on, it takes you all the wY back to "shop benefits." Then, if you were on page 17, you can't just slide the page , you have to start at page 1 allover again. Also, it would be wonderful if all products in a category were listed together when scrolling.
Terrible glitches. The app was working fine until the last update about a month ago. Now everytime I login, it prompts me with error an message to either refresh or logout. The 'refresh' option just brings me back to the same page over and over again, and if I log out and log back in, the same thing happens. Sometimes it goes to a blank page with nothing to click on. Occasionally I'm able to get in if I clear all data on the app but within a few minutes I'm unable to access my account again.
Wish I could give 0 stars. I had no problems whatsoever before the update. Navigating the categories is difficult now. I tried for over an hour just confirming my shipping address. It was correct but I finally had to go into the edit option & reenter the address to proceed to checkout. The whole experience was terrible!
It was extremely difficult getting the purchasing process started, and even with my wife's help, we couldn't navigate it. The older app was much cleaner and didn't require jumping around between categories to find the items we required. We simply typed in the code, and the item appeared instantly. This app did not work in that fashion.
I don't like the time limit to order. I had to sign in 3 different times in order to complete my full order because it kept kicking me out. I'm a little slow because I kept having to search for everything I wanted to order. I prefer the old way of just going to a category, like pain medicines and vitamins. Why change something when the previous way was just fine for us older people.
After 4 mos. I finally got the app to work mostly. After choosing to shop in the store for food I went to checkout with items to purchase but when I went to checkout it offered shipping. I'm confused but I will have to accept it this time. It's much better now that I can log in unfortunately hundreds were wasted as there is a cap on the total amount that can accumulate. Also an expiration on the balance each month.
It's so easy to use the app. You can choose from the different items that you want to shop from. It shows you what your benefit balance is and as you choose your items, it deducts the amount and shows you what you have left to shop with. Even if you run out of your benefits, you can pay with your own form of payment. There are so many eligible products for me to choose from every 3 months. I always look forward to shopping for my benefits.
I have, for some reason, 2 categories to shop. One is some kind of "extra help" and is a lesser amount. When I choose to shop online from the lesser one, it seems that the total is reduced from the other one. It's all very confusing. I am grateful that my health insurance has these programs though. Also, I would like to see the back labels (which show all ingredients) for all items please. Please just let me log in WITHOUT also sending me a code by text or email. It's very frustrating.
Don't get me wrong, but there's quite a few items online or inside the store more convenient to shop, especially when some of the items you need are there for anyone who needs things. As far as the app, they need to fix the issue as it keeps crashing and I have to keep logging into my account at least 6 tines, as well as enter a verification code. Smh
This app is very convenient to order on. my only down fall is when I created the account I put the wrong phone number and I can not edit or update it. I've called serval times and them couldn't not help me. I was eventually told to unenroll and re-enroll to fix the problem but there's no way to do that. Any suggestions on how to update my phone number.
First experience worked great. SECOND time... not so much. I spent an hour filling shopping cart, then was $1.00 over, so gave credit card info for the $1. Then it took me to "confirm address," which I clicked on, then got an error message. "Something's wrong - please try again later." So I adjusted my order to exact amount . Checked out again. Same issue occurred. Backed out of screen to prior screen, had to sign in AGAIN, all my work disappeared!!! Now I must start OVER-Very frustrated!
Updates to the app make it so much better than it used to be. It used to start over every time you added something to your cart, but now it just picks up where you left off making shipping less frustrating. It also used to time you out and not always save what you already had in your cart, but it doesn't do that anymore either. Thanks for the improvement!
The MOST USER FRIENDLY APP I've ever used for online, over the counter, shopping!!! It gives you all the information you want or would need to know about the thousands of products to make a purchasing decision. It's easy to compare and contrast. I LOVE that you can pop out of a page to look at something else and when you come back, your in the EXACT place you left off. It doesn't refresh, no scrolling, searching again etc. WELL DONE 👏👏👏
The categories are confusing to say the least! Impossible to find what you need and when you do you can't read ingredients in the products etc. And (price gouge) on most of the items but its easy and free shipping right (eye roll). Make it simpler for us to get our items in ANY store like a regular debit card. A list of un/eligible items so we don't have to spend an hour standing scanning! My body won't let me waste time scanning when I hurt. I need to get in and out asap!
app is clumsy and difficult to use - e.g. an option bar pops up and blocks a necessary button to save changes to your shipping address, which must be edited to place an order. Then, the changes aren't saved for the next time the app is used. It works, barely, but it's a PIA. One might almost think they were trying to discourage you from using your benefit, which would then stay with the insurance provider. Surely, they would never do anything so corrupt and annoying intentionally, amirite? /s
USE 'OTC Network' INSTEAD. The worst app I've ever used. Going back with gesture navigation will exit the app and the session. Select 'Order Online' and there's no app navigation. Support says to scan UPC in app for eligibility. As far as I can tell there's nowhere in the app to scan. Just electronic payment info. Online prices are extremely high, but they are forcing you to order online by not having a way to check products in a store.
