Paywall for splitting payments in non equal portions. --- Edit - RE: dev stating they need money, but there are plenty of ways of going about that without absolutely gutting the freemium app of features.
Reviews for OurFlat: Household & Chores
← Back to OurFlat: Household & ChoresBest app for shopping list, finances, calendar, chores, and chat for your household. Easy to use and users friendly interface. I like the app.
Easy to use app. Repeat event function for calander would be super handy. Weekly overview of tasks and calander that can be printed for quick reference. A to do list for random tasks or events (ie party planning) and function for adding rewards for points earned would be great additions to this app
I once complained about how they made the currency showing differently from how we usually use it in Malaysia, and they fixed it asap. I hope they'll grow as a company and keep adding great futures in. Really hoping there would be a debt system and a "husband-wife" setting type of flat default.
Very helpful for roommates. We've been using it for a little over a year to divide chores and keep our shopping list. I'm excited for the categorized shopping list feature once it comes out!
1. Would love it, if it was possible to reward points per subtasks rather than completing the whole task - that way it would be more honest way to distribute points in tasks that consist of more than one thing, and multiple people are helping. 2. Also giving everyone the same amount of points when one task is done is a bit unfair: i.e. in a situation where one task is 4 points when one person does it, but if two people do it, then it is suddenly 8 points
I was looking for a replacement for the defunct OurHome app and have found it in OurFlat. Right off the bat, it had most of what I wanted to handle chores for our kids. After using it for a while, I decided to contact support with some questions and suggestions. Felix was super responsive and very helpful with providing answers to my questions and taking on board my suggestions and asking for additional information on them.
Would be a great app, but somehow I am unable to click away the ads after I watched them. The button to exit the ad shows up but I can't press it. So every time I make an Entry in the finances list I have to close down the app... This problem showed up recently, so I hope it will be fixed soon.
I like the App, but not quite what i was looking for; for a family. I would happily use and pay if those 3 missing features are developed or in the works: 1.under finances, add a budget tool where we can categorize and tag those expenses towards 2.under tasks, add categories (preferably color coded) where tasks can be grouped 3.Sync calendar Other suggestions (now manageable using subtasks): 3.under tasks, add goals where tasks can count towards 4.under tasks, add a counter option; no of times
This app is great!! My flatmates and I each use it multiple times a day to keep ourselves honest. You can create rewards systems for completing tasks, there's a shared grocery list, finances tab, and more. The developers are incredibly responsive, so if there is something you'd like to see in the app, emailing them seems to work out great. I recommend this app to anyone in a co-living situation, be it with family or friends.
My flat has been using this app for a couple months and it is perfect for us. OurFlat is really fleshed out and super customizable. I've been very happy with the recent update to the tasks screen. The expense splits can be super granular. Calendar entries can have invites and reminders. You can have multiple shopping lists if you like. The chat is has read receipts and polls. You can even be in multiple flats! The developers are very responsive to bug reports which is great. Recommended!
So far, it seems amazing! I wish you were able to have access to pro for a lifetime as an option along with yearly and monthly. I just installed it so we'll see how it plays out but overall it does have exactly what a household needs to communicate effectively without using more than five different apps!
The first app that I've found that actually lets you add household members and share tasks with them for free! It's easy to use, and covers everything from shopping lists to making plans and asigning tasks. Extremely helpful, just what I've been searching for. :)
This is a fast growing app with an excellent premise. It really accounts for all the important points of communication and organisation within a household. There are currently some bugs, but a simple bug report to the team always receives and swift and friendly reply. With some time, I expect this app to be a must have for any organised share house! I no longer have to use 4 applications for my home, which we are all grateful for!
OurFlat keeps my space tight and my responsibilities clear. 🏠✅ From chores to bills, it’s all tracked and organized. No more arguments or confusion—just structure, peace, and teamwork. Whether you’re flying solo or sharing the crib, this app brings calm to the chaos. 💪📋🔥
Love the app so far, very practical. A couple features I think it really needs would be the ability to mark who pays for what on mutual shopping lists so it's easier to organize, like if a flatmate asks you to buy a very specific oat milk for them or something. Another cool feature would be "message of the day" or week that anyone can set to put up general reminders or themes for the flat.
works well for my husband and I to keep track of our home. once I figured out using it via windows link, it made updating things like a grocery list 10x faster.
Good except that I wish I had the ability to create categories to sort chores into. I would like to be able to put chores into different groups like "bedroom", "bathroom", "kitchen", etc. so that it's a lot easier to manage and navigate. Also wish I could set a chore to two people but not have it assume we are rotating, but rather either of us can do it (meaning it's nobody's "turn"). This is easy enough to ignore though.
It's pretty okay. I'm on the free version. I feel like other separate apps would work better but my mom wanted something specific. You can make 1 grocery list and chore lists, and assign them to people. It also does a competition, although we turned point earning off for my family.
this is the perfect app for my family and it WOULD eliminate the 3 other apps I have, but I can't give it the 5 stars that I want to because I need widgets before I can stop using those other apps. I'm waiting until they come out with widgets, but right now my subscription feels like a waste since I still have to use the other apps in order to have event/list widgets on my home screen.
