So here's my take on the Oxford Handbook of Anesthesia. I've tested a bunch of medical reference apps and this one's pretty solid. The content is super comprehensive and the visuals are great - the illustrations and color coding make it easy to find what you need. It's not trying to be fancy, it just gets the job done really well. The only downsides are that the drug info could be more current and the search could be better. But overall, if you're an anesthesia provider, this is a great go-to reference to have on your phone.

Description

Been using the Oxford Handbook of Anesthesia for a couple months now. It’s basically a comprehensive medical reference guide for anesthesia practice. Pretty solid app if you’re a doctor or med student.

Here’s what you can do – there’s in-depth info on things like administering anesthesia safely, a drug formulary, and tons of other practical details. And it’s got detailed sections on pediatric and obstetric anesthesia too. The content is presented really clearly with lots of illustrations and charts. Took me a while to figure out the navigation but it’s pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it.

Look, if you’re in the medical field and need a go-to reference for anesthesia, you’ll probably find this useful. It’s not perfect – the drug info could be more up-to-date and the search function is a bit clunky – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
