Reviews for Pandora - Music & Podcasts

← Back to Pandora - Music & Podcasts

All of a sudden, my music started pausing while playing and coming back on. from reviews, i've read.It seems like they want you to purchase a plan. And this is how they make you purchase a player. And this is ridiculous, very ridiculous pathetic.... If that's how this is going to be. I will just subscribe to Sirius xm radio. which gives you more clarity of music and louder sound and better signal.

I love the concept but the Android os app is more and more buggy the more I use it. updating playlists is next to impossible. playback lags to begin with and then after it finally begins, some songs will just be skipped over. Pandora on Roku works great, so it's not worth cancelling subscription but the phone app itself is in serious need of some upgrade. there is no option to update the app at the Play store.

several annoying features you have to opt-out of, still get pop ups with dumb questions even with a paid account. and you should have to opt-in to getting live songs because those always suck. if I wanted live music I'd be at the concert. also it won't allow you to repeat certain songs "due to license restrictions": which is also bs if you're paying for an account. I should be able to hit repeat as much as I want.

Update 8/29/25: The interface is still inefficient garbage. Can't even search your own collection. Thumbs down should require a double press; too easy to accidentally thumbs down something and not even know. There should also be a "super like" option (maybe double-tapping thumbs up?) to have a particular song play more often. Lyrics are rare 5o be available. I don't understand why. It's 2025.

been using this app for many years and it's always what I've turned to for my music. for the last few months though every time I go to use it I'm in a continuous battle to get out even work. I've tried all the trouble shooting options and nothing has worked. I've come to the conclusion that Pandora is just getting too big and bloated to function properly. disappointing...

I only use it instead of a better music streaming service is because I can listen to music in the background for free without upgrading, but I'm lucky if it plays more than two songs in a row without shutting off while playing in the background. Update: I uninstalled and reinstalled the app on 9/4 and it worked fine for, what 2 1/2 weeks? By the 22nd it was back to shutting off every two songs or so. uninstalling and reinstalling again. Clearing the cache never works, just uninstall and reinstal

Been using this app forever, but now when I want to change to a different song or artist, I get some bs message about reaching a temporary limit and I'm being forced into an upgrade. This isn't due to too many ff or skips, this is something new and it sucks. If I want to pay, I'll do it but not because you're trying to force it. About over it

I switched from Premium to the free version due to constant "skipping" when listening in my vehicle. It's like I'm back in my childhood listening to a damaged cd in my Walkman. But when I'm connected on Wi-Fi, the issue isn't there. However, my cell coverage doesn't go below 3 bars and 5G in my city for me, so idk what the deal is. And yes, my app is the most updated version.

I am getting ready to cancel my subscription and go to another platform. I am getting really annoyed with the app not working. woke up this morning to the app not able to play any music. Often the app gets stuck on a specific Playlist or station and I cant switch to a new one. it is really unfortunate because I have used Pandora for probably 20 years. the last year the app has so many bugs amd it constantly is skipping songs in my Playlist.

Daily it's a 4 but at night it's a 1. I listen to meditation and calming music to sleep, only after every 2 songs there are 2 yelling ads about the most out-of-pocket things that wake me up. Like come on! Pandora isn't what it used to be. Also, the are you still listening feature .... I was until you cut me off to ask such an unnecessary question. You still run the app it just doesn't actually do anything.

Would not play music for more than 45 mins, despite autoplay being on and being a top tier payed subscriber. Do NOT recommend, would give it 0 stars if possible. Edit: I have done that, and all of their suggestions were the first things I tried. And the app erased all my playlists and downloads despite me being a top tier paying member. Way to be absolutely unhelpful. I hope you find every lost LEGO with your foot, Pandora

4 stars. Only main issue is when I watch ads to get replays because the song was skipped over for some stupid reason. I wasted all my replays to replay a song that just kept skipping to the next. This keeps happening over and over, last times that it happened was when I was low on bars for service. This time I had three bars and 4G LTE so no idea what the problem is, but it mostly happens to be the music from like the Goth radio and The Sisters of Mercy and stuff, not sure it's on purpose. FIX!

Would not recommend. I've used this for a while on free. I'll watch an ad for more replay's only to have the song buffer and then skip the song. There's one advertisement every song. If you ask me Pandora is just desperate for money. I don't want to waste my money on this app. I hope they change the problems. Until then I'm sticking to SoundCloud. The update has not helped. I wish Instead of redirecting us they would actually fix the problems.

It was going well. Then the app started this freezing in the middle of advertisements. I tried re-installing the app, and now I am locked out. The link to reset password does NOT route me to actually RESET, it goes back to the Log In page. What a worthless app! I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT! I heard great things about this app for years. It turns out to be an awful experience for me.

There are too many commercials, more than the radio. App doesn't reliably pick back up on podcasts, usually buffers for about 30 seconds, then starts back in the middle of an episode you've already finished. constantly updating and clearing data and cache does nothing to help. Contacted their "customer service" for help and got nothing. like others have said, it won't let you update "liked" songs and keeps giving an error message. Using Pandora for over 15 years, the app is worse than ever.

This used to be a great app for new music discovery and the ability to create and customize playlists. But it has gone downhill. I often hear music completely unrelated to the playlist (wrong genre), and they replay tracks too often, leading to a limited variety. Worst thing is, if I pause and try to resume the song after a short period, it'll reload the app. Very frustrating.

I'm hoping a 1 star will get some attention because I really need this fixed! I love pandora, been using it for years, but it's become unusable due to constant crashing. I can get through a single song. I've re-downloaded the app, I've cleared data, all of the recommendations, but the app never works smoothly for more than a day.

It's fine, but I can't add the majority of my favorite artists as stations or as variety to stations. Just keep being told "an unexpected error occurred." I understand there's a lot of music and more every day, but it would be nice if you added an option in app to request certain songs or artists to be added. As it stands Pandora is pretty useless to me without most of my favorite songs. Edit. The issue isn't something that needs "troubleshooting". You just haven't added most of my fav artists.

Pandora is by far my favorite music service but it has years long casting issues/bugs. This happens across multiple devices. Other apps do not have these issues. I often have to disconnect then reconnect to the casting session. Multiple days I've not been able to cast at all by the end of the day. Restarting all equipment does not resolve. The best music is worthless if the user can't get it to play on their devices. Clearing app cache and data does not resolve. Bluetooth works fine still

I've been using this app since I was about 11... and it doesn't let me unlike songs I had liked years ago, just tells me there's been an issue. The "liked songs" tab also doesn't give you an option to unlike songs in general, and it's always out of date. Hit like on a song but I have to wait weeks until it shows. The amount of pop ups is also starting to get ridiculous. My "top artists" are still from when I let my coworker use my pandora for a few hours two years ago???
