Reviews for Parcel Pending

When it does work, it's convenient. Unfortunately, it requires parcel delivery people to be responsible in order to work right. Many times my package was not in the locker like I thought it was supposed to be. My one package went missing once, and the last time I didn't even get a notification that I had one waiting. Pointless service if it doesn't tell you your delivery is waiting. Great concept, terrible reliability unfortunately. Unsatisfied.

App is (sort of) useable but has several inexcusably bad bugs. For example, I can't update my contact information or change my preferences for how it notifies me of packages. No matter what I do, it tells me that an occupant with my first and last name already exists ... Um, yeah, that's me, and I'm not trying to add an occupant! It also sometimes registers my packages under my wife's account even when they're addressed to me, so I don't get notified when they arrive. Pathetic.

The app is simple and easy to use. But it never shows any notifications. In my settings, all the notifications are allowed, o both device and app level, but I never get notifications. But I get emails. After I get an email, I go to app, and there is nothing. But after the app is open, it starts refreshing and pulling data, and after about 10 seconds the info about my package appears. Looks like this app totally fails for any sync when not running.

Terrible. Have had nothing but issues with this app. Ever since I moved into my apartment, I haven't recieved notice of any packages. I had to go to the main office to get the locker open and I was told to contact their customer support. The app says it requires an update and when I try to update it, it brings me back to the Google Play store and does nothing. I've uninstalled and installed the app twice to no difference. Can't even access the app anymore at this moment.

I wish I could give zero. Since the last major update, I get no notifications, and the best feature: the touchless open box button was removed. Why is the Android app so much worse than the apple app?? Update 8/18/23: The app has not gotten any better with the updates. The 'open box' button is still missing so you have to manually put in the numbers. The biggest issue is that the notifications stopped a while ago. I have to rely on the Amazon notifications to know when to get my packages.

Formerly 5 stars, now wish I could give 0. Some recent update has rendered the app completely unusable on my Android. I no longer get notifications(even though they're set up to allow notifications), and every time I try to open the app it closes and I get the "app keeps stopping" system error popup. Clearing cache, uninstall/reinstall do nothing to fix it.

03/28/2023: app was updated and again is not working. Crashes out. Luckily I opted to get a email and text but prefer the touch free option with the app. Very disappointing considering what I have to pay to have this service. Not getting notifications when I'm being advised by Amazon that the parcel has been delivered. I opened the app and it shows that I need to update, but when I go to the play store, no update is available. I'd really like to get my packages but have no access.

The app is about useless. The service itself is great, putting in my information on the website was easy enough. I get text and email alerts when I receive a package which is great. However, the app itself refuses to show that I have any packages no matter how many times I open the app to check even though I've received an email and text alert. I've checked all my information, signed in an out repeatedly, reinstalled the app several times but it ALWAYS shows no packages through the app.

The boxes work fine. But you can't talk to a human being if you have an issue. The only options you have if you're having a problem don't get you to a human. Poor customer service. I tried calling the number and just had a computer tell me everything was ok, then hung up. There was no option for account help that did not just report that my issue was cleared up... then hung up

Had to register for this service because of apartment management's decision. Not many packages get delivered in the locker. Out of the 2 packages delivered this year, I didn't get a notification or a code for one. So that makes it a concerning 50% failure rate! Didn't even hear from their support after raising a concern. Looks like the support request vanished in thin air. Update: They never fail to fail. The third package that I received this year through this service did not belong to me!!

I love their service overall and it keeps my packages safe! I think I have two complaints: 1) the ability to open the boxes in the app when you're close to the package locker is hit or miss. It's amazing when it works, but sometimes it just never detects that you're close. 2) their locker sizes aren't specified for carriers so they have to try and put the package in there, but you don't know how big it is until you open it. The second complaint is more about their lockers though, not the app

One of the worst apps I've ever used. Now I can't login to the app, it complains account not found. When I try to reset password, it complains account not found. When I try the register and use my existing user account, it complains the username is - surprise, surprise - used. Nothing works with email or phone number on the app, but the locker still works with my phone number and pin. The development team of this app should be fired.

Update 06/08/23: Our lockers were down for a MONTH!!! Update: 04/03/23: It appears the crashing has been resolved. Not changing the rating because this should not have happened in the first place and the customer service is hot garbage. Crashes when opening since the last update, it's been a little over a week and I can't use this app anymore. Luckily I also have an iPhone and the apl works perfectly or else I probably wouldn't be able to open the lockers AT ALL.

Awful app. This software just plain doesn't work. I have tried it on my phone, my tablet, and my desktop with no luck. The odd thing is that it behaves poorly in different ways on each device. The front end interface is poorly designed. It seems like the backend databases for the app and the Web version may not be the same and don't talk to each other. I reached out to customer service last week and the only response I got was an automated acknowledgement.

Unreliable, inconvenient, awful. The parcel service often breaks down with your items in it - like when you are waiting for a life saving medication. They couldn't consistently send my parcel alerts to the phone app; suddenly I would realize the item I was waiting on all week was there but they only sent an email. Sometimes a text. Sometimes all three at the same time which was very annoying. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY; YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Trying to setup an account, couldn't create a username. Had to make one without a username, then go back and update it later. Confusing, time consuming, and unnecessary. Now they are trying to make me add a payment method they will keep on file to handle "potential late fees"?! If I had to jump through this many hoops to make an account, I can only imagine what disputing a late fee will be like, and how many times I might need to. Especially since other reviews can't access their packages.

It's not a bad service. However, if the system is down for any reason, it is a hassle to get ahold of building management and then guest support. Cause if you don't, then you'll get charged for the parcel even if you picked it up day 1. Maybe a button on the app itself for each parcel that allows you to acknowledge it was picked up even if not the way it was intended. Would also probably help as an easy way to list theft of a package, too. All in the same spot.

Delivery drivers are always having issues delivering their packages (often enough that the issue is clearly on Parcel Pending's side). It took months for customer service to respond to me (we had to get our apartment's manager to reach out - twice) to fix my issue, and my roommate is still having issues over a year later. The app is fine, but just because you see your information typed correctly in the app does not mean it's correct in Parcel Pending's system. Very frustrating.

the deadline was the pick up the package at 11:59pm, I picked it up at 11:15pm and they still tried to charge me. they suspended my account a week later. I called and they took the fine off and told me to add a card that will not be charged to reactivate the account, but it's still a pain. Get your system right to not charge when I'm still within the time frame. you're continuing to the awful in this world.

In addition to being charged for the privilege of receiving packages in my own apartment building, they charge 3$ / day extra when you don't pick it up right away. It's a racket. It is a little neat to be able to release multiple packages by clicking in the app. But even with that feature, there are a lot of communication errors such that the app will frequently open the same locker repeatedly after freezing up. Seems like a pretty basic thing you can build into the programming.
