Here’s what you do: you park where you see the ParkChicago® signs, then you open the app and pay for your session. There’s also features to get notifications when your time is running low, and you can extend your session right from your phone. And the app keeps track of your parking history, which is pretty useful.

Look, if you live in or visit Chicago a lot, you’ll probably find this app really handy. It’s not perfect – the app can be a little glitchy sometimes – but overall it does the job. Definitely worth checking out if you want a simpler parking experience.

So here's my take on the ParkChicago® app. I've tried a bunch of parking apps and this one's pretty solid. The core features work well and it makes the whole process a lot more convenient than feeding quarters. The notifications and session extending are really nice touches too. The only downside is the app can be buggy at times, but that's a minor gripe. Overall, if you're in Chicago a lot, this is a great option to make parking easier.
