So far the app is extremely useful, and I love the fact that the routes are live feeds. My couple complaints are a) if I were to select a bus stop for it to show the average time of arrival. Showing the estimated time of arrival is super nice but I also would like to select a stop and see about the time it normally arrives so I do not have to do the mental math to find out what time it arrives. B) to have the ability to pay for a ride through the app.
Reviews for Passio GO!
← Back to Passio GO!It used to be great at first, but then after a couple of more uses, the app constantly tracks buses that I don't even take and they're not from my town. And the one bus route I DO take only shows the route and not the current location of that bus. This app needs to be fixed because it makes me nervous that I might have missed my bus without exactly knowing.
The map accurately shows where buses are, but the app is stuck and won't stop showing all buses in a given location. When I uncheck the boxes, they automatically reappear again. I was unable to send a feedback message or error report because it tells me I don't have a default email setup, which is incorrect.
I wish I could rate this app lower than one star. It never works or if it does its because I closed the app then restarted it. The shuttles are never visible and impossible to find when they are. The shuttle tracking icons disappear if you have the app open too long, so after five minutes you have to restart the app. If you're lucky the shuttles and busses phase through roads and buildings.
The app crashes after seconds, nearly every single time I open it. It is beyond me how can this be taken as a serious application adopted by large universities. Shameful. EDIT: app now does not crash., but also does not work properly. I am in a bus stop where the app says my bus will arrive in 21 min. But the app says the bus will arrive in the next bus stop in 3-4 minutes. There are 3 blocks in a straight line between those stops. It is incomprey that large universities resort to this trash
The app only gets worse. Initially, it was fine, a bit clunky, but I can track my buses. Soon, even that refused to work. Bus positions are fixated, and you can't track them at all. And now, I can't even open the app without it crashing. I would switch if only my institution would allow for the same.
It worked, something updated, and now it doesn't. Can no longer see the route schedule when you click on it, and the bus tracking is even more broken somehow. It's also trying to be as accurate as possible with the location of the user and even the direction they're facing, which is breaking it even more. Pretty cool.
Its absolutely terrible. If I didn't need it for the buses for Disney, I wouldn't use it at all. Its crashes everytime I go to look at the times the bus will be at my stop. Using the app for as long I have, I know the times like the back of my hand, but sometimes they change them, so I'm constantly checking. And it will crash before I can even see the times!
The idea of this app is great, and where it works, like showing the routes and tracking buses, its great. However, it's not an easy app to figure out and most of the time there are very necessary features that don't work. I have only been able to find bus schedules twice. Bus routes that were changed and discontinued were not announced to riders via the app (if a route is favorited could that be incorporated into the favorites announcements?). It's adequate but needs some important upgrades.
The live bus tracking is laughably bad, and that's only when the app lets you turn it on without crashing or just doing nothing after you tap the button. Also does not give any bus arrival time estimates like other apps do; all you get is the official bus schedule (so good luck if the bus is running ahead / late). And these are issues with Passio, not the raw tracking data from the bus system; live tracking of the same busses here works fine in other apps.
Wow, this app is extremely slow and laggy as all hell. It just does not want to respond. If I zoom in on the map, it crashes. If I try to move the map, it crashes. If I try to look at routes, it crashes or slows down. This whole thing is unstable. Then again, I don't know what I was expecting with a transit app with a name as stupid as "Passio GO!", a name I can only imagine a child would've come up with.
This app barely even functions. This is on top of the fact that when the buses do appear, it is impossible to tell what you are looking at. Also if you try to only select one route, you have to select things manually and then it doesn't even matter because the ones you deselected will still appear on the map. And the worst part is that it does not show bus times past the nearest bus, so you have no way of long term planning for buses that aren't immediately arriving.
This app has never really worked, but at least prior to the most recent 8/30 update, you could make do with what you got. As of now, this app is completely bricked. Useless. The most it can do is show the live bus tracking if you're lucky, but even then, half the time, they are frozen. Don't try tapping the routes to get any information because if the app doesn't crash immediately, it will just show up blank. God help you if, like me, this is the only way to track your means of transportation.
A true show of incompetence, This has to be one of the worst applications ever released. Question any bus company that chooses this option. If you are lucky enough to catch it on a day that it's working, it still lags way behind the bus, takes forever to register the route you are looking for, and cannot save any of the routes. On the majority of days you cannot select any route or bus at all because the toggle button pretend your finger isn't there. It basically turns into a bad map.
If I could give zero stars I would. Rutgers forced us to use this app and it doesn't function at the bare minimum that Transloc used to. Every 5 star review is a meme or a bot. It crashes constantly, doesn't accurately track bus arrival times, and doesn't even let you see the order of stops on a route. The GUI was designed by an actual 3 year old, I've seen better apps designed by high schoolers. Hopefully enough bad reviews will change something, but clearly the creator is someone's brother.
Awful app. Hardly ever loads in the first place and any changes I make to trying to see certain buses doesn't do anything. Now, though, I can't see anything. Every once in a while the routes load but even when they do I can't see buses or bus times. Can't even make a complaint via the app feedback because it gets stuck loading when I hit submit.
Attempting to select my agency leads to a loading screen of, as far as I can tell so far, indefinite length. I have not been able to get even barebones functionality out of PassioGo. I have never before bothered to write reviews for an app, but I feel compelled to speak against this pile of garbage in the hopes that any institution considering using it in future looks at the reviews first.
The times and tracking is accurate I guess, but the real issue is the lack of functionality beyond that. Needing to search through every possible route to find the specific one that might take me to the stop I want to go to is incredibly tedious. The app needs to actually take into account people wanting it to be able to get places, not just tracking buses.
AI art in the tutorial. App bugs out if you select a stop that's used for two different routes. Only shows bus schedules for the day, meaning you can't use this app to see the bus schedule for tomorrow. Seeing a route's full schedule is also not an intuitive thing to figure out (there's a button that says "show schedule," but it just shows you the name of the route..), but the way you do it is by long tapping the **top right** side of a stop name after normal tapping a stop on the map.
Worst app I've ever used by far. Random visual glitches everywhere (black bars/half put together menus), if you want to plan a route 90% the time it will just glitch and fail, when selecting "arrive by" time the menu doesn't even work at all, AI art on boot, won't let you even view bus times ahead of time, not a single helpful feature to make up for it.
