Reviews for PDF Scanner app - TapScanner

I relied on this app to capture ID images of people I don't see often so I could submit a crucial government required filing. I took the photos I needed and hit save. Hmm. The images didn't save. No I have to inconvenience these people and ask for the information again. Not to mention, the constant pop-up ads. I'll uninstall now. If you want to sell your app-step one is to make it functional!

Is there another payment option other than weekly? I LOVE THIS APP!! I'm a member of the fire department and there are constant documents that need to be scanned right away and you're not near a computer, and we all know our phones don't leave our sides, so this is perfect!!! This makes things much easier than always go into the other room and standing there while docs were scanning.

I wanted to use this app to take clear pictures for my assignments. Who would have thought that after watching 2-3 ads you can only "share" 5 pictures per day without premium? What makes it even worse is that the "share" feature includes downloading so I am essentially forced to either buy the premium or not be able to turn in my assignments. The actual app is decent but if your planning on using the app for more than 5 photos per day just find download a different app that won't limit you.

TapScanner is such an amazing tool! I can snap a photo of receipts, invoices, documents and even photos, and I don't have to worry about shadows, or imperfect edges. I can choose various filters and whether to save in color or B&W and the exact sharpness of photo. I easily send the PDF or Image to myself/ others, or to email, text, Google photos, printer, etc, and can later print / download once I'm back in the office. Love this app!!!!

This app is quite good. I accidentally downloaded it thinking I it was another app. I used it, but cancelled after realizing I would be charged in 3 days. I cancelled the same day, but I got an email saying I'll still be charged $3.99 at the end of the trial date when they said it was a free 3day trial. Also, the app keeps my email and PayPal which should cancel too; I can't figure out how to take it off though I cancelled the service. I definitely don't want to be charged once or continually.

Slowly trying to force you to pay for the upgrade. I swear every time I use this app a feature has been taken away from the free version and put in the premium. Especially the editing features for scanned documents. Like if your document has any kind of watermark or stain on it none of the features they now have in the free version will clear it up. Or if it does you can barely read the text. They legitimately took all the good and even decent edit settings away from the free version.

Very easy to use app. The interface is simple but effective. Also, the camera scanner is super convenient. Unlike other scanners, which uses contrast to recognize the page you want to scan, this one just required to take a picture and the algorithm can detect the page from there. There's also the feature at the end that allows you to select the region of the picture to convert to a PDF which is really useful. Filters and lighting adjustments work great. Overall fantastic app!

Works well enough, but the push to pay $3 a week is a bit excessive. None of the premium features are really needed, but would be nice. 3 bucks a week adds up fast if your not constantly using it. The annoying limit is moving 5 files a day without buying premium. To remove that I'd be willing to pay a dollar or 2 a month, maybe. But not $3 a week. I guess it's time to look for an alternative or manipulate the date. Maybe if the cost was more reasonable.

In my defense, I was asked to review this app right of completing the installation. I am a software engineer, so I know how valuable and useful feedback can be. If I sign up for a 3-day trial, I do expect to have full, unfettered usage of the app and its full feature set. I also only expect to buy it once, so if recurring fees are your revenue stream of choice, I may not choose to continue usage. Unless you are adding lots of new features, it's not gonna be worth the quarterly recurring fee.

It said every image/scan etc. would look perfect or professional quality. Mine are terrible! And easy umm nope 1 document it said almost finished keep steady at least 13 times, my hand was starting to shake, the longer it took the harder it was to hold my phone still because if you don't the corners won't line up. I know I won't use this more than once. I have to send files to company I applied for job with. Needed a decent scanner. I think I chose the wrong one.

Exceptional! I had to photograph oil paintings with frames. None of them were square and I searched and searched for some kind of crop app that I could manipulate so the frame would line up leaving no background. Welp! These guys really made my day and work so much easier. I'm going to use them exclusively. No more searching and no more hassles! Genius brilliant app! I've always thought so since I joined but now I must share with the world. 😁

You will be charged $18.99. I downloaded this app, but in order to try it you must enter a paypal addreess or other payment method. I then uninstalled it from my phone within a couple hours after trying it. Thought I was done. Nope. 3 days later I was charged $18.99! You have to go into your Paypal account under "manage payments" to cancel their account. No way to get a refund! Scammers! Move on and get a free app!

Everyone just wants to make a piece of software and get passive income. It's a scanner. I'm not doing free trials or paying monthly. I downloaded this to scan a couple important files before bed, and today I open them on my PC to see a watermark on each page! Completely useless in any kind of environment where you want to appear professional (think "sent from my iphone" type of bs). Time to go rescan with a free app that doesn't want to waste my time and money.

The app was fine until they put an artificial limit on how many pages you can export in a day. Not to mention that it doesn't actually let you choose where the files are sent on Android, it just "sent to emulated/storage/..." where it can't be accessed but it still hits against your daily limit. Deleted the app because right before my final exam was due it exported nothing but used up my daily limit so I had to email my professor literal pictures of the test. Has good editing features though.

I have an outdated computer(Windows 7)and I was not able to upload files, until I found this great app. Now I can upload, edit, crop and send files, convert from PDF, send as PDF, as an image, and so much more... so many options! I've only begun to explore this app! It's amazing! and after your 3-day free trial the annual cost is only about 38 cents a day! What a great deal for a portable scanner, printer and organizer, (and much more)thats comes from this app inside of your smart phone!

I tried the free trial and used the service once. However, I was unable to find any option to cancel the subscription beforehand. The subscription only appeared in my account after 3 days, at which point the fee was already deducted. Despite not using the service beyond the trial, I was not able to request or get a refund. Very frustrating experience.

This app has become so full of advertisements for such a basic feature over the years. You used to be cool, man. You have to pass through five or six pages and hit cancel three or so times just to use your one of three or so scanning operations you can freely make a day with it, and you just have to know which button wont lead to them charging you. I can name so many better options, down to hand cropping. I've taken to using Nextcloud though.

Through the free trial, this app and it's scanning abilities, plus the cleanup far outweigh the free one I've been trying to use. I would happily watch advertisements, but I will not subscribe for something I will rarely use. If scanning is what you really need and don't mind paying a subscription, I would recommend this one.

Does this app scan documents, yes. Is the scan clear without a paid sub, absolutely not. I've used other free doc scanners and the features in this app are minimal by comparison. The white balance is off and scan is far from optimal. Additionally, the watermark on non-subscription scans is not a watermark, but instead a dark black, bold stamp at the bottom of every page; its font size is 4x larger than the doc's text and says, "Scanned by Tap Scanner". Deleted!

the ads make it basically unusable with the free version. Changing my review at the request of Tap Scanner Customer Service: I have already downloaded and started using Microsoft Lens, which is dramatically smoother and easier, without intrusive ads and needing to hit "cancel" every five seconds or where they deceptively make their subscription sign up exit button blend into the background to try to get you to sign up for a subscription. I understand making you watch an ad, not this.
