I’ve been using Permission Manager X for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that gives you way more control over the permissions on your Android device. Like, you can see all the permissions for each app, and then easily grant or revoke them. There’s also this thing called AppOps that lets you fine-tune even more permissions beyond the normal ones. It’s got a ton of options, which is great if you’re a power user, but might be a bit much for casual folks.
The coolest part is being able to set your own reference values for permissions. So if an app wants access to your contacts, you can choose whether to allow it, deny it, or even set it to ‘ask every time’. Really gives you a lot of granular control. Plus, it’s all in one place so you don’t have to dig through each app’s settings.
Look, if you’re into tweaking your Android and having more say over your privacy, you’ll probably love this app. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a bit cluttered at times – but overall it does an awesome job of giving you power user-level control. Definitely worth checking out.
