App is very laggy and full of bugs. It hardly works. *** Update. It glitches out even more now after the update.
Reviews for Petro Path
← Back to Petro PathThe new update made everyrhing harder to look up. We are in the middle of the desert we have no time to be tinkering with this . Im moving on , hope you fire the pencil pusher who has never been out here and recomended this update.. i give you -5 stars.
Probably the best app. for oilfield and gas locations. The downside: It adds up to around $300 a year. There's a couple of more affordable apps.
Sends me down roads I can't drive almost daily should have an option for truck drivers to avoid this, and an option to tell them you can't drive this road.
Doesn't say anything about paying in Google play until you download and install the app... Oh I guess it does 20 bucks a month is just a little outrageous in my opinion though. Always someone trying to break it off in your ass up here.
I've installed several times but every time I click open, the app closes. Says no network connection and it will try again but closes and uninstalls.
It's better than the other week navigator I have, the only thing so far I would like to see is an option to have more than one state, I go between Montana and north Dakota and don't always know which state the well is in, I would totally subscribe to it if that was an option
$20 a month is very expensive for what you get. it routed me into someones back yard to a location. if the price was more reasonable i might consider keeping it.
Terrible UI and clunky All around. App needs to export directions to Google maps or have it so that the coordinates are copy and pasteable. Petro Path directions are terrible!!!
I tested this app, it's the best system I have ever seen. I visit anywhere from 10 15 different oilwell sites a day. It has been dead on every time in areas where cell phone service is very poor or none at all.. Very Satisfied!!!!
Decent app, it definitely needs some updates. It would be nice if you could create and save/share different routes based on which wells you have saved. Map definitely needs updated. For the price they should definitely add some features
Decent. Needs a wayvto save routes because not all of the roads are viable or even exist and roads that are better don't even seem to be updated. It works the majority of the time but it has put me in some messy situations.
Expensive. Seems okay but the price is steep. 20 bucks for something I may use once or twice a month. I could only get directions for a lease that had a pump I needed to repair this way, so I signed up for the trial. Verified "auto-renew off" so if I get billed like these other folks I will be mad. If it was 5 bucks a month I might consider a subscription but at this price point it just isn't worth it imo.
I just opened it and it doesn't let me close the app... I already didn't like that, don't get it.
Great concept! My company uses the service has an account for all the field techs. There's a couple of features I'd like to have. One being integration with Android Auto and it's apple counterpart. The second is the ability to edit routes when the route petropgives goes through either a private ranch road, a nonexistent road, a locked tailgate, or a blocked road. Other than that it works great
Of all the ones I have tried, this is the easiest to use. It can be a hassle to log into, though, which is a big downside for me since I tend to bounce around between devices. I wish it would work with password managers or offer fingerprint login.
good maps for oil field in north Dakota.. just wish when it's guiding you. it displays the street name and numbers on the map. it shows them when you're not getting guided. also when you're following the blue arrow it sits half way up your screen wish it was lower on your screen so you can see potential turns up ahead.. other then that great app.
The new update makes it to where you have to manually punch in the location names even if you were sent the link in text message that used to be a fast simple process but it no longer let's you do that, it gets annoying and time consuming going back and forth from text messages to the app then punching in all the info one by one.
what streets that have names are in extreamly fine print even if you zoom in. once directions are added the names are een harder to see. pay attention to the warning about the route, it will try and take you down goat paths and pipelines. also will try and route you 10 miles out of the way for something 100 yards from you. use along with regular Google map for best results.
This app is SO helpful. I like that I can save a well and filter out all the ones I don't need. One feature that would make this app even better is if you could have multiple layers or be able to change the color of saved pins. It would be a way of "checking off" wells that I have treated already. Thank you!
