multiple times I have not received credits should have not even weeks later when I checked back. They're just scamers like the rest except text now.
Reviews for Phoner 2nd Phone Number + Text
← Back to Phoner 2nd Phone Number + TextWhen I call, everything is ok. But when somebody calls me, it doesnt ring! It rings only if the app on screen. And if the screen is off or app background or phone restarted, it doesnt ring. Only gives me missed call notification several minutes later. Impossible to use as ordinary mobile line. Only outgoing calls in my case.
The prices aren't bad at all, $10 a month will get you talk and text plus you get to choose your number from a list. If you don't like those numbers, they offer more until you find one you like. If you're broke like me at the moment, you can watch a couple ads and earn your calls and texts which I find absolutely amazing and helpful while I'm down with health issues. I highly recommend!
This is just another phone app. You buy credits and have to use them to buy a phone number every couple months number expires unless you extend it. Has pin, password, and email recovery options. Phone connection quality decent from the US east side of country. Messaging delivery does not take long for delivery. So overall i give the app a 7 out of 10. They could give customized options, startup screen selection, encryption options. Thank you to the folks thar spent time developing the app and all
Verification won't work. I input the requested info in correctly after reaching out to the help desk. It still hasn't sent me a code to verify my credentials. I paid $$ for extra texts and bc the verification isn't sending me a code. I can't use the app. I also paid for a subscription. I am very displeased. The app was working great before and now I can't use it at all. Fix the issue or refund me.
it's okay they need to give you more minutes or have a way to gain more than 1 per ad . What can someone do with 3 minutes or 4 text credits I'm giving 2 stars because of this sorry
they screw you out of way too many earned credits (I would never send the developers a dime for this). you'll endure an ad for some other garbage app and wait for it to be done playing exactly the way you're supposed to, then return to your texts or calls to find that they lied and didn't pay you the credits you rightfully earned by watching. so you can't call or text your contact back in a timely fashion. crooks. [Edited to remove a star, because they haven't compensated me w/ free calls/texts]
easy to use and navigate through
absolutely useless! first they give me a completely different number to what I chose non-responsive to help chat the phone number doesn't even work because I have had multiple people tell me they are trying to ring it and nothing happens don't waste your time everyone it is a joke
Just downloaded it and the messages say they're sent, but my friend still hasn't received the message. I've checked to make sure the number is right 6 times. And why do we only get 5 free texts and calls before you watch ads to get more.
It used to work, other than the odd glitch where it wouldn't give you the credits that you've earned from watching an advert. Now it just says that there's issues with their network and my number won't work anymore.
In my opinion it's by far the best one of its kind yet.. I only have one issue/complaint and that is just about the time I'd gotten impressed with it I switched phones but it don't give me the option to sign in to my account it just starts from the beginning again and offers you a new number.. I just received a notification that my payment was declined but still no way to access the number.. Other than that it was perfect but I refuse to use it unless I get access to that number back..
You must pay to use.. don't get... so I see you're Reply. So based on your reply... I understand how it works and to some people I could work... but to me and a lot of others, I don't like jumping through hoops to get a few more min/text, etc. I use a few apps that even though they run ads, all calls and text are free, not just a trial or having to actively do more for basic functions. If that changes, I'm willing to try it again, but not based on the current business motto.
Originally looking up a 'second phone' type of app to use as a "just in case/wifi phone", it is labeled as "FREE" when if fact it is NOT FREE. Provided with ONLY 5 FREE TEXTS to start with and leaving you to purchase more texts as well as minutes for calls, I'd only rate the app at a 2-3 star rating. Due to mislabeling, it's not worth the efforts in downloading.
Took my money but not provided with a phone number... I downloaded and installed the app, chose a phone number and paid for a subscription. As soon as the transaction was complete the app went haywire and closed. When I opened it again it was prompting me to pick out a phone number. The one I had initially picked out was nowhere to be found. I hope getting a refund is not a difficult process. Will update if I receive a response from support and/or if I receive the refund.
Application does work, text, send and receive calls, but when there is a problem, response times are not quick. Additionally, IMO, there are many fundamental features missing. Group texting, adding new number to address book, some others. The lookup is cool but it sits on top of texts so you can't see the full conversation and you can't minimize or turn it off. It's worked but still not there for use as a "business" line depending on how many calls/texts you need to make or receive.
Out of every other second phone app I liked this the most because it has a way more sleek look to it. My main issues with it though is 1. When you're in the messages tab, it only shows your contacts phone numbers - it doesn't show their name until you click into the conversation. 2. I wish you got more customization options. I would fall in love with this app if it would let you customize the colors of the messages
I'm impressed with Phoner. At first, I was having some difficulty with sending a text, but when I contacted support using email, they responded quickly with a few suggestions. They then followed up soon afterward to ask if all was OK. It was, so their support is good. Both calls and texting work well, and calls are clear. I have two numbers, free & paid, and no problem with either one. I'm using credits for now to support these numbers and their easy to obtain. The app just needs a dark theme.
After watching the ads to redeem(earn 1 text), it doesn't update for days so then I can't text right away; when I finally can send a text, they don't always receive my texts. Also, if you make a phone call (for example) for about 10 sec. or if it rings and no one answers, it charges you for 1min.(so a phone call lasting between 0-60sec. you're charged 1min). And you have to watch ads per/text & ad per/min phone call separately or pay$. However, phone calls work better than other apps I've tried.
It was originally five stars when they gave me a few free text messages. then I paid to get extra text messages and they unloaded a waterfall of ads. Open the app get ads. they asked me to review the app and before I could do the review an ad came up. you can't close out the ads. but ultimately shame on you for charging me to text people and still bombard me with ads. once someone pays for the key features you are supposed to offer free you shouldn't hit them with a ridiculous amount of ads.
