So here's my honest take on phyphox. I've tested a bunch of science and education apps, and this one's pretty solid. And the variety of experiments is great, and I like how you can dig into the raw data if you want to. It's not gonna blow your mind, but it's a really useful tool if you're curious about that kind of stuff. The only downside is it can be a little tricky to navigate at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty straightforward.

Pros

  • Tons of cool experiments to try out
  • Lets you export raw sensor data
  • Create and share your own custom experiments
  • Free to use, no in-app purchases

Cons

  • User interface can be confusing at first
  • Some experiments are a bit basic
  • Might not be for everyone if you're not into science stuff

Description

Been using phyphox for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you turn your phone into all sorts of cool science gadgets. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do: there’s a bunch of pre-made experiments you can just tap and start – stuff like using your phone as a pendulum or a sonar. And it’s got some neat data analysis tools too, so you can export all the raw data and play around with it. And you can even create your own custom experiments on the phyphox website and share them with friends.

Look, if you’re into science apps or just want to mess around with your phone’s sensors, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a bit confusing at first – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.

This may be the most underrated app on the Play Store. I wish I had discovered it sooner. If it weren't for Chris Boden from the YouTube channel @Physicsduck, I...

It is hard to believe that such a valuable, versatile, and well-organized app exists, never mind for free and without ads or other bloat. If I could suggest one improvement:...
