Been using Picture Mushroom – Mushroom ID for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you take a photo of a mushroom and it’ll tell you what kind it is. Pretty solid app if you’re into identifying different mushroom species.
Here’s what you do: you just snap a pic of the ‘room and the app will give you a bunch of similar mushrooms to choose from. There’s also a ton of info on each species – stuff like edibility, habitat, how to ID it. And the app will even warn you about toxic mushrooms, which is pretty useful. Took me a while to figure out all the different features but it’s a helpful tool overall.
Look, if you’re into foraging or just curious about mushrooms, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the database could be a bit more comprehensive – but it does the job. Worth checking out if you want to learn more about fungi.
