Been using Pie: Free Events, Cool People for a couple months now. It’s basically a social app that helps you find fun local events and connect with interesting people in your city. Pretty solid app if you’re into that sort of thing.
Here’s what you do: there’s a feed of upcoming events you can check out, from things like DJ sets at coffee shops to Sunday trivia nights. You can RSVP and see who else is going. There’s also a people section, which shows you profiles of other users you might click with. And if you start seeing the same people at events, you can add them as friends – no pressure though, it’s all pretty casual.
Look, if you’re into getting out and doing stuff in your city, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the event discovery can be a bit limited and the people profiles are kinda basic – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want to make new friends and find cool things to do.

So here's my honest take on Pie: Free Events, Cool People. I've tested a bunch of these social discovery apps and this one's pretty good, not gonna lie. The event listings are solid and I like that you can see who's going before you commit. The people feature is cool too - it's helped me meet a few new friends in my city. The interface is clean and easy to use. My only real gripes are that the event selection can be a bit limited depending on your location, and the social profiles could use more depth. But overall, if you want an app that helps you get out and actually do stuff, this is a pretty solid option.

What an outstanding social app with an emphasis on community building and respect for all walks of life.
Caught in a horrible sign up loop where it asks me what city I'm in and my phone # every next step. I can't even get in.
