so far so good better than expected, the rewards and bonuses are at most excellent as all. The benefits of using this app is outstanding and maintaining a consistent use is Crucial I've realized. but the end results are well worth it.Im hoping and praying this review pays off ,I'm practically homeless atm with my dog bouncing place to place , that would for sure help me at least pay for a week or two worth of tIme for a hotel which would be SO MUCH SO MUCH APPRECIATED.HOPE LUCK IS MY FAVOR🤞🏻👏
Reviews for Piere: Self-Driving Money
← Back to Piere: Self-Driving MoneyUnfortunately there are a significant amount of issues connecting accounts, and customer support is non-responsive most of the time
I did the subscription as a tapjoy thing to get coins for a different app. they have not given my reward. how can I trust an app with my money when they won't give the reward promised for completing the subscription?
at its best its an easy 5, at its current state, 1 is being generous. For users like me who want a centralized view of all their money, its really quite frustrating that not even 20% of my accounts are updating properly. There is no value add from these new/AI features if I cannot get an accurate or atleast, close to accurate, snapshot of my financial health. As an early adopter I would really encourage the team to focus and prioritize improving the account synchronization issues.
Nice app but Connection issue persists since months , you have to re-connect and re-verify all your financial accounts every single day or on every account refresh !!! Very annoying, inconvenient and time consuming
entered my phone number. and it says I already had an account? Selected "forgot password" and it said it could not send a code to the telephone number? disturbing and unsettling since I never set up an account. perhaps the owner of the cell number before me? either way not a great security system
Basic functions don't work right - screens will claim successful changes and those changes don't actually show. Can't use the main features of the app because it won't update to show my accounts.
Had trouble with getting my refund after unsubscribing after my free trial period. Contacted merchant immediately at time of the occurrence with no results.
I have premium but can't use the app because it keeps asking me to verify my email but it never sends the verification email. I've checked spam/junk and every other folder. App is useless as of now to me and I'm out $65
The app and its functionality has grown in leaps and bounds since it launched. You can tell the team listens to its users and makes changes accordingly. If you have issues, they respond quickly, and they're active on Reddit and email updates when new functions are available. There's still always room for improvement, but you can tell they're working hard at getting there. I've even emailed about suggested features and have gotten follow-ups when they've gotten around to making them happen.
Piere looks sharp and I was excited to get early Android access. However I'm not able to add accounts. Citibank authenticated, then errored out quickly while syncing transactions. "Currently upgrading try again later." American Express also authenticated but got stuck on "syncing transactions" for almost ten minutes. I finally backed out to the main Piere screen and do not have any accounts or transactions. Citi emailed a notice that Piere now has access to my account information...
This app seems like it has come pretty far in a relatively short amount of time. There are other, more 'legacy' options out there but Piere has that scrappy underdog energy that's pretty fun The team seems committed to improvements and taking feedback seriously. a few bugs keep popping up, which is to be expected, but still is frustrating. I'll be sticking with piere for the foreseeable future.
I came from NerdWallet since I wanted flexibility in categories and ability to budget. You are immediately put onto 1 week non-optional free trial (payment method required) without experiencing what is available on the free version. Free version is very limiting where you can't filter your spending report (eg. categories, dates, tags). There is no "create" or "delete" budget, you have to individually go into each subcategory (not category) to set a limit. I will be testing out another app.
My main reason for using Mint was that it was a convienient way to look at various accounts all at once. It served that purpose well for many years, but I was disappointed when they shut down and the alternatives were often bloated with features I didn't need, tons of invasive ads, and couldn't even connect to my bank accounts properly. Piere is the first banking app where I had no issues connecting my accounts, and the interface is very streamlined and I can see my account information easily.
the persistent account connection issues are aggravating. every time I log in, it's outdated because it couldn't pull transactions due to some kind of connection issue or another. have to go into the settings and reconnect the accounts. new issues with different accounts the next day. I've stopped checking the app regularly because I'm tired of reconnecting constantly. i wait once a month and just do it all at once. very unfriendly and frustrating.
Honestly, it's a pretty solid app. Came from Mint and found this. By far the best free app I've found so far. Sometimes I have sync issues (with institutions connecting and updating, no notification if it isnt working) or login issues. For instance, I have biometrics set but I still have to hit I'm already a user to get prompted. The support is great and always trying to make it better so I'm just happy to have found something that is a great way to manage my net worth without having pay.
You blew it. It's tax time and in the year since launch the 12 months you've had since launch you did not get around to a desktop version. The main point of accounting software is to show transaction history but you cut that off at 60 days. You also blew notifying me when accounts are unlinked. Focus on this really basic stuff if you want to provide a good product. I am leaving you for quicken, a platform I know has a terrible app, just so I can do my small business taxes. Thanks for nothing.
The Android app seems a little half-baked. It sends a lot of notifications, but clicking them does nothing. Doesn't even open the app, let alone deep linking to the relevant content. Too many useless notifications and only one notification category, so you either have to disable them all or nothing. The process for "reconnecting" accounts requiring 2FA is too cumbersome and time consuming.
They're trying to be fancy, but you should be good at the basics first. They're launching AI systems when their desktop app is way overdue, tagging is totally broken, the app is laggy and frustratingly slow, and basic budget processes like roll over don't work, don't work logically. No one can be MINT (sadly) but these guys are trying too hard to be "cutting edge" and not hard enough to be USEFUL.
I've finally uninstalled Pierre after the app once again stopped prompting for a fingerprint to access the app. This has been an issue that has come up multiple times over the 8 months I've had the app, and has been periodically resolved, but feels like a sign of how important they view security. I also now have a full half of my 12 accounts unable to sync, stating that Pierre is upgrading the connection, but these have all been like this for months. Anyway, cool idea, nice UI, poor execution.
