Great app! I used to track meds with notes and alarms, but it required constant checking—not ideal. When I had to take two antibiotics at different times, it got overwhelming. I tried other apps, but nothing compares to this one. I love that you can log food, water, blood pressure, and more. The feature to take notes for doctor visits is super helpful—I never forget what I wanted to ask. Highly recommended!
Reviews for Pill Reminder & Health Tracker
← Back to Pill Reminder & Health TrackerIt works great at aggressively reminding to take medication to the point where you do it so it leaves you alone. But it overrides everything else and it's infuriating. Sometimes I'm busy on my phone and I need to quickly get rid of Pillo but it doesn't let you.It also stops whatever audio I'm playing through Bluetooth and then when I want to resume my music I can't hear it because for some reason Pillo has turned my phones volume all the way down to zero as well as pausing it.
I have been using this for a few months now and it's been great. I have ADHD and have always struggled to take my meds daily and with this app I have not missed a day since it kinda locks the phone. The only thing I would like is to be able to see when I have taken my "as needed" meds on the calendar, like a little + symbol in the corner to indicate I did more than my daily meds. Or even better a few symbols I can set for different meds to really see what I have taken at a glance.
too many times I couldn't remember if I took my meds and would be dangerous if not deadly if I took them twice. so unfortunately I had to skip them a day at times. with this app. I no longer have to worry about that and I only hit the button after I do the meds. if I am busy when the alarm goes off, I can snooze for several minutes or even a few hours and it will remind me again.
I'm using the app to remind me to take 1 prescription for 30 days. It does a great job of reminding me to take it 3 times a day. The presentation of the ads without an immediate ability to close them is infuriating. I couldn't call 911 if I needed to without first opening a link to an ad so I could close it to get to the phone function. One more week of this medication and I'll be done with this app.
This app helps me so much with taking my medication. I am very forgetful with taking my meds and sometimes I take them and then later in the day I cant remember if I took them or not. So this helps me keep track of everything. You can set an alarm to remind you and additionally remind you to have a meal if your medication has to be taken with food. I also like that when it reminds you, it gives you like a five minute timer to take them as well. Overall great app!
Overall, it's easy to use and flexible. the name is kind of a disservice for them. I'm mainly using it for injection tracking and weight loss so a "pill" tracking app doesn't grab my attention. Should have been like MedAlert or something. My only functional gripe is the weight tracking graph needs MAJOR improvement. It should function like a stock chart and show full views of 1m,3m,6m,1yr, etc. The current setup is pretty useless and uninformative as far as visualizations go.
I'm impressed. It took me a minute to figure out how to set up the medication schedule, but once I put in the second med, it was very easy. I continue to find more features that makes management easy. I am using this for my post-op medication schedule and even set it up for emptying my drains. I only need this short-term, so will not be subscribing. I highly recommend a subscription for those who have long-term medication requirements. I plan to make a one-time donation as a thank you.
On the very first use, the app refused to let me out of it until I tried out another app. I felt hijacked and I literally had to restart my phone to be able to get to anything else. So just in case you have a phone call coming in, or any other app trying to open up, this app will not let you out of it. I would not support this program because of this issue. software developers should inform their users of things like this BEFORE they install it.
HIGHLY recommend this app. extremely customizable on a granular level, but the UI is also very user friendly so that it's not hard to figure out. they don't require you to add any personal data if you don't want to, everything is free, and the safeguards to snooze or easily reschedule, accommodate those times when you might be busy when the app goes off. even the company itself isn't tied to or invested in by anyone shady. weird that a pill reminder app might be my number 1 rated app of the year
Need more than 1 app, I guess. Either the app suddenly stops working for days at a time before I realize I've gone that long without my meds, or it goes off randomly late. So I need a reminder for my reminder. guess I'll keep looking for med alarm apps that consistently work. Yes, I realize that when my system updates, the app needs to be restarted, but 1. that's ridiculous. No other app on my phone needs that. 2. that's not the only time it's inconsistent.
Many times, I find myself asking, "did I take that pill yet?!". Or en route to my med box, I get distracted and totally forget. This app has been a lifesaver. I set up the med names and time it's due, and the alarm does the rest. I have to shut it off, and then I have 5 minutes of a continuous sound and timer to prevent distraction while I physically take the med. Then I acknowledge that I've taken the med in the app again. Absolutely brilliant.
Good reminder app, but too intrusive. It's really annoying when I'm trying to finish something up and the alarm goes off and it takes over the phone and won't let me quickly switch back without pulling me back. Additionally, trying to get this thing to shut up while driving is downright dangerous with the number of steps needed. Lastly, all my reminders were lost on transition to a new phone. Due to my other complaints, I'll likely switch to a new app instead of setting this one up again.
I do really like this app, but when I forget to take my medicine for pillo, the alarm keeps going off. even when I power off my phone it still goes off even though you can't hear it. and it gets my phone very overheated. They should at least at a setting where you can add a time for your alarm to stop itself if you don't manually stop your alarm.
The app aggressively takes over your phone when pill alarm goes off. Way too many ads.. and the app will stop and not proceed with pill alarms as schedule. You have to manually go into the app to trigger it for alarms to work. This app is too much of a hassle!! No, I will not spend anymore time sending info to the Developers for diagnostics. I've wasted enough time on this buggy lacking app.
I am *loving* this App. I take a lot of pills at lots of different intervals, but this App has made it smooth and easy to handle. I love all the different features, being able to postpone 1 or many Meds at a time. The driving mode is great! If your phone is moving over 15mph (I think) it automatically recognizes this and will postpone the meds for a time frame you choose (I use 1 hour). It has never failed me. It gives me a nudge 3 min before it's time for my meds so I can postpone or get ready.
Loved it at first. Now I hate it. They have new pop up ads. So instead of the sound I have chosen to remind me, which is gentle and calming, I get blasted with some annoying version of the Iko Iko song for some pay to play scam game. The only way to get rid of the ads is to pay for their "premium" app. Which is not cheap. Deleting this app and looking for a new one. I don't need all these extra bells and whistles there been adding. I just need an app to remind me to take my medicine, that's it.
Lost patience for this app. Some need a hard reminder after hitting snooze, but I don't, & there's no way to turn that off. I could be in the middle of something important or trying to answer a call, and the hard reminder shuts me out if it. Then there's the ads. I could upgrade for ad-free, but there was a time such a simple app might be a reasonable one-time or yearly fee of $5. Now it's monthly. Tired of being milked by techies who want to retire early or rule the world. No thx.
I like it. not only is it a cute app but the customization is good. for example, I set my alarm to take my medicine at 6:30 on weekdays and 11:30 on weekends. there's also other features like water or weight tracking and every time you take your meds it donates to a charity. my only issue with it is that sometimes when the alarm is going off or when the alarm is finished it won't let me leave the app. I have to restart my phone when it does that. but other than that I like this.
The app works well and does what it's supposed to. The reason it's only getting 2 stars is because it abuses it's "appear over other apps" permission. On numerous occasions I've had my med reminder, taken my meds, clicked close, and turned my phone off my phone screen. An hour or so later I get a low battery notification on my watch for my phone and it's because Pillo decided that after I clicked close and turned off my screen it wanted to show an ad, so it kept playing the ad, draining battery.
