Poor app. I wanted to find my saved list to print with bar code but couldn't find it anywhere. This app is trash do far.
Reviews for PlaceMaker Route Planner
← Back to PlaceMaker Route PlannerWould be good for Android-based phones to be able to log at least 10 locations rather than the meagre 5. Why is is that Apple iOS users are able to have 10 or more locations? What's the unfairness?
just don't like how certain address doesn't GPS and won't optimize right and when u scan a bar code it will display wrong address.
Better off using Google maps and plotting points on there for free 2 or 3 years ago this app was my go to. Now they are just getting greedy, 22 bucks to plot more than 25 stops gtfo.
Had road warrior on the trial and went with this as it was cheaper but unfortunately it didn't find the first postcode I entered and I simply dont have the time to be mucking about.(put the same post code in the other app and it found it straight away ) so waisted 4.95 on this and that was that for this app
Not good at all. It doesn't have all addresses. And when it does map them it's usually 3 or 4 spots passed what you need.
As a paid subscriber, I was until now very impressed, but since the last 2 updates I no longer have a route line between stops. What changed, because I did nothing!
It's good for a list I guess , but it ALWAYS starts off giving directions as if I'm facing the exact opposite direction I am ...that it just guided me to 🤯...a d doesn't automatically go to the next address once I'm done with one....not intuitive, barely helpful.
Takes me to the wrong address by a block or two away. Does not have new homes in system. Optimize feature tries to get me to pass up stops to get to a particular stop then back to the stops i have passed to Deliver later. Its like scrambling eggs. Really messy.
Not a pleasant experience. As far as optimization of your stops/route from your/my location til the last stop, road warrior is better. This app still had my stops all over the place, only recognized my first stop but had my second stop and following over in another area to have me come back to my position later on in the route, no thanks. #uninstalled
This is the most horrible experience I've had with an app. I've cancelled my subscription for almost 2 years now and I'm still being billed for this app. I've called GOOGLE so many times and no one can seem to help because there is no subscription found. GOOGLE needs to refund me me over 300 dollars back.
This app was recommended by a Co worker who has an Iphone. Now, I really like how easy and plug and go format this app provides. The reason for the 3 star rating is this app charges Android users after adding 5 or more stops 4.99 monthly. My CO worker was very surprised after I told him about the charges and said that he has all of his stops added into the app (over 50) and its free to him. Right now, I am currently trying to find an app like this, but free to Android users.
I haven't had this app long, so I can't give it more stars, but it seems to be decent for what I need it for so far. My only complaint is that I don't have the ability to text message a number from the location information screen. iPhone has this feature - it would be wonderful if Android had this capability as well.
I love the fact I can just scan barcodes to enter them into my route but constantly needing to go back into the app and manually select the next address gets infuriating. An option to have it automatically queue the next address upon arrival would make this so much better. Could also benefit from outputting the exact address I put in to Google Maps rather than a range.
Love the app and very useful for our needs, unfortunately accounts will not sync between iOS and Android. Paid account is through Apple so I'm guessing that is where the problem is. Other apple users can view and change our database, but I am unable to from my end without an additional subscription.
I have been using PlaceMaker for over three weeks now and I have to say, this is the best routing app I've used. I am a courier and rely on this app daily. It has never let me down and has found all the addresses I throw at it and navigates to them perfectly. As a courier I've downloaded and tested all the top routing apps and this is by far the best! I am happy to pay the $5.00 subscription each month. Thank you, Kevin, for adding Here WeGo Maps. Dereck
This is a good app. I like the simply styled interface. The ability to set colours is great, (I set a different colour for collections and deliveries, and for large items that are on the floor of the van instead of a shelf). It remembers my repeat addresses and notes I set for them. It will find postcodes, but do not use a space when entering them. I do find it better normally to search street no. and name though. I use it everyday for usually between 50 & 90 stops and would not be without it.
Stops not changing appearance after marking complete; search not finding simple numbers on streets; camera scan does not work. Subscribed after seeing how brilliant the app is (even as a free version) on his iPhone, loads more sorting options, scanner picking up printed addresses etc. This android version however feels like a rip off so far in comparison.
Two weeks and I'm not liking this app. The map jumps around when trying to zoom in or analyze the route. I often have to tell it where to start and end to get a flow in happy with, if I can stop the map from jumping. Optimize from where I am! I don't care for how it orders the route at all! If I'm downtown, I want to hit all the downtown stops, not a few then come back later. Timing is of the essence for offices that often leave early, and it makes little sense also.
app hasn't worked for months now on Android. each time I put in a new address I have to restart the app. Adding a second address doesn't let you type in the search bar. on pixel 8 android 16. somehow this app is still better than roadwarrior which is why I haven't switched back yet.
