Reviews for Plan Meals - Meal Planner

Overall the functionality could be better. If you make a meal with ingredients and instructions you can add it to you plan - but it doesn't link to the recipe, so you have to exit the meal plan and go into recipes to view how to make it. Bit of faff. Also, the auto generated shopping list removes duplicates, so if you have two meals that use 2 chicken breasts that item will only appear once in your shopping list - so you would buy 2 chicken breasts instead of the 4 you need.

Plan your meals once - put it in this app. Make lots of different weeks. Whenever you go to the shop/market/mall your planner is with you. Pay for upgrade-tiny fee then you get your shopping list in a different order. Get this app. You'll not regret it. Upgrade to thank the developer. You'll not regret that either. Developer is very responsive. When I upgraded my phone, meal planner was the only app that reinstalled with all data in it.

Very useful app. It helps to track what kinds of food my family likes, put it on the meal plan, and eventually control the purchases and prevent waisting food. Also, one can put the portion size, or calories, whatever is convenient, plus number of meals a day. This helped me fighting the compulsive eating, and slowly I'm getting in to a normal eating routine.

So far it has everything I needed. I wanted to be able to have a list of meals and to add them to the week. A couple of simple things would make this perfect: - having categories for the meals list (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack) - being able to scroll through our list to pick a meal to add to the plan instead of having to type the first letters. It would help get some inspiration - Please use another color. Meal planning isn't just for girls and even tho I'm one this bright pink is painful.

It does the job but it takes time to key everything in. The shopping list isn't great as it doesn't add up items from multiple recipes, for example if you need an onion for 3 recipes, it doesn't add 3 to the list, it just says onion so you have to figure it out yourself. It would be good if you can reorder meals and shopping list items. Everything is just listed as it is added so when you're in the supermarket, there's a lot of scrolling up and down. It's a very basic app.

good.m but a couple of things: - separate ingredients and quantity. this will make the shopping list much easier to read - merge same items: after the above, it will be easier to have 3 eggs than 1 +1+1 - allow changing the order of items in the shopping list. it makes it easier to read and work with it. allow tagging meals: is this breakfast? is this veggie? etc, etc great potential

Hurts my eyes. The load screen is a really harsh hot pink which stresses me out, and there's an option for a colour change but the only other choice is an equally harsh bright green. I can't comment much on the functionality because I can't get that far, I can't bear to look at it. Gentler, more calming themes and logo might be better. Especially for an everyday use app.

I really, really like this app. I tend to struggle with planning my meals and groceries, I get overwhelmed and just give up (and order in lol). This app has completely saved me and now I actually cook more. 100% worth the upgrade. The ability to create meals, then break them down the ingredients and put them onto the grocery list is so helpful!

Great app! Very simple and easy to use, has everything ive been looking for! Only issue I've run into is in adding meals. I can add as many meals and snacks as I'd like to my day-to-day from the editing menu, but when I press the X to remove one of the listings, it doesn't remove it; the X just turns a lighter shade of gray for a moment. So as a result I have 5+ snack listings for every day that I can't remove lol

I had 3 weeks of menus planned and then one day I opened the app and it was wiped clean! All my menus were gone! Very upsetting because I had bought groceries while planning my menus...so I was left with a full freezer, full pantry and full refrigerator and had to try to remember what I had planned for every item! Now I'll try to find an app that is more dependable.

1/31/2021 update fail. App not opening at all. Upgraded to paid version but it didn't add any additional features other than being able to name the weeks. I use dates. Would have given 5 stars had that not been deceptive to get you to pay for upgraded features that don't exist. If you don't care about naming your weeks the way you want to, don't pay to upgrade. Hopefully the developers will roll out some advantage of having the paid version beyond naming convention, like a built in browser.

I have tried so many meal plan apps over the past few years, and this one is the one that fits me the best, by far! It has the structure I need (laid out by week, input for recipes) but the customization I desire (change first day of the week, change name of the week, input your own recipes, or don't put a recipe just write it down). Navigation is easy and user friendly. Going pro is an inexpensive 1x fee. My only suggestion would be to add a widget so you can view your meal plan by week.

App needs a few more things, syncing capabilities to two accounts and Out Of Milk app. Food prep reminders. Calculatting the amount of ingredients to shop for. And most important to me, a "menu of the day" widget and a print feature, even better, if we could print multiple weeks on one page. Other than that, it's not a bad set up, I like some of the Pro features. Just wanting a little more out of it. Not containing adds ever is a great choice.

In the past, I used the application to generate my shipping list. Then the developer put that feature behind the pay wall. I was fine with that because it worked well. When they made that change, they also changed the shopping list. Now the shipping list does not generate all of the items from my recipes nor does it show the quantities without changing a setting every time I view the shipping list. Absolutely horrible update.

I do not recommend this app. The app doesn't sync across platforms. If you set up the desktop version, any updates made on desktop will not show up on your mobile device, and about 3/4 of the time any work you do on the desktop will be deleted as soon as you touch the mobile app. Frustrating waste of time. Additionally, although I got the gold subscription (which I regret) the app routinely forgets that I have the subscription and prompts for me to re-buy.

I'm loving this. Very simple and basic. I would love to be able to label my shopping lists for different stores. Having the ability to rearrange the shopping list and condensing multiple items (or being able to do it manually) would be nice. I would also love to have the option to view my menu in a boxed week calendar (month style)/table and export or print for my refrigerator :)

I LOVE this app. I have been looking for something that is simple and I can put in my own recipes. PROS: Lets you put in your own recipes Allows you to reusable plans so you don't have to keep planning each week. After adding the groceries to your shopping cart for your weeks plan you can customize your cart! You do have to pay a very VERY small fee to get the above feature but it is worth every penny and more. CONS If you are looking for an app that has pre done recipes for you. It's not for you. Does not have an online website that I can use to make input a little faster. Like another reviewer said a grading star system for each meal would be cool.

I like having several weeks planned, and that my recipes are easy to enter BUT... You have to enter all the recipes yourself. You can't easily add online recipes. They have to typed in. When setting up meal plans you have to remember all the recipes available, because you have to type the recipe name rather than choose from a list. The shopping list is in the order of recipes rather than broken down by food type.

This is a good app, however it had a few flaws. - Grocery list does not effectively work properly. - Not have the ability to move around meals or copy and paste for another day. - Does not have the option to print out, which would have been an awesome feauture especially if doctors request it. -I had to pay "premium" just to add more meals such as snacks.

I really like the app. Love that you can put in your week's plan and it translates into a shopping list. But the shopping list needs a lot of revisions each time. It adds every word on its own line. Baby carrots is "baby" on one line, as a shopping item, and "carrots" on the next. I also like that created recipes translate to the shopping list, with same problems as above. I would like to be able to edit the shopping lists by naming/dating them, deleting them, etc.
