So here's my honest take on Plant Identifier App - EarthID. I've tested a bunch of plant ID apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The database is super comprehensive, it's easy to use, and the results are usually spot on. I like that you can save your favorite plants too. But it's not without its issues - the ads can get obtrusive if you don't pay, and the UI is a bit outdated. Still, for a free app it's one of the better plant ID tools I've used.

Pros

  • Huge database covering most plants and trees you'll find
  • Accurate plant/mushroom identification most of the time
  • Free to use, don't have to pay for any features
  • Handy 'My Garden' feature to save your favorite plants
  • Regularly updated with new species

Cons

  • Can be buggy and crash sometimes
  • Ads get annoying if you don't pay for the premium version
  • Interface is a bit dated and not the most intuitive
  • Certain rare/exotic plants aren't in the database

Description

Been using Plant Identifier App – EarthID for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that can identify like 90% of all plants and trees in the world. Pretty solid if you’re into nature and botany and stuff.

Here’s what you do: You just take a pic of a plant or mushroom, and the app will tell you what it is. There’s also a ‘My Garden’ feature where you can save your favorite plants. And the database is constantly expanding – they’re always adding new species.

Look, if you’re into plants and the great outdoors, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a bit clunky and the ads can get annoying. But overall it does the job and it’s free to use, so worth checking out.
