So here's my take on Planta: Plant & Garden Care. I've tried a bunch of plant care apps and this one's pretty solid. The reminders are super helpful and I like the plant doctor feature - it's saved a few of my plants. The interface isn't the most intuitive, but it gets the job done. Definitely better than just trying to wing it on my own.

Pros

  • Tons of detailed care instructions and reminders
  • Plant doctor feature is really useful
  • Free to use, don't have to pay anything
  • Covers a wide variety of plant types
  • Lets you build a full garden in the app

Cons

  • Can be a bit overwhelming with all the plant profiles
  • Notifications get annoying if you have a lot of plants
  • Interface isn't the most user-friendly
  • Premium features are kind of expensive

Description

Been using Planta: Plant & Garden Care for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you take care of your houseplants. Pretty solid if you’re into gardening and keeping your plants alive.

Here’s what you do: you add the plants you have, and Planta will send you reminders for when to water, fertilize, repot, and all that. There’s also a plant doctor feature where you can get personalized advice if your plant is looking sick. And the app keeps track of your plant’s care schedule – took me a while to figure that part out but it’s actually really useful.

Look, if you’re into plants and keeping your home green, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the app does get a bit cluttered with all the different plant profiles – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.

I didn't really get to use the app at all, so I can't speak to how it works. I installed it, created an account, and then realized it was subscription...

Good app, not always ready to be watered. I have messed around with the soils to adjust the days. Example: My hoyas I put cactus soil to extend the day...
