So here's my honest take on the PlayStation App. I've tested a bunch of companion apps and gaming apps, and this one's pretty solid overall. The social features like seeing your friends' activity and jumping into party chats are super useful. I like that you can also browse the PS Store and stay up to date on news and deals. On the downside, the performance could be better and some of the more advanced features aren't super intuitive. But for most PlayStation fans, this is a great way to stay connected to your games and friends when you're away from your console.

Description

Been using the PlayStation App for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you stay connected to your PlayStation friends and games, even when you’re not on your console. There’s a bunch of cool features like seeing who’s online, voice chatting, and messaging your buddies. You can also use it to shop the PS Store, check out new game releases, and get the latest PlayStation news.

The main thing you do in the app is connect with your PSN friends. There’s a feed that shows what games they’re playing, and you can jump right into a party chat or send them a message. It’s got a nice clean look and it’s pretty easy to use. Took me a bit to figure out some of the more advanced stuff, but overall it works well.

Look, if you’re a PlayStation gamer, you’ll probably get a lot of use out of this app. It’s not perfect – the notifications can get a little annoying sometimes and the load times aren’t the fastest. But it’s a solid companion app that lets you stay in the loop on your games and friends. Worth checking out for sure.

This app has been very useful for quickly browsing through things such as the PSN store, my friends list, and viewing trophies in games. Something I've been wishing they'd change...

The app is OK. It's useful for shopping for new games or adding free monthly games to your library while on the go. But, it has lots of problems. Trophy...

Laggy and unintuitive. Often need to go to the website to complete a transaction or verify some notification. It'll log you out after some time and force you to login...
