Reviews for PNC Mobile

7/29/25 Update: Mobile deposit works better, so that's nice. However a new, much more annoying issue has surfaced. I use the biometric (i.e. fingerprint) login, but more times than not, the app tells me it doesn't work and I have to type in my password. Once I get into the app it then gives me the option to turn on biometrics, which I do only to have it tell me it doesn't work the next time I log in.

EDIT 7/25: Where this app used to be her, I had the worst time in trying to use the mobile deposit. the app freezes, logs out, or never can read and process the check. I have to physically go to the bank to deposit now and its very frustrating since my bank isnt close anymore. Great app to have. Allows you do to anything you need. Very useful when it comes to depositing checks. Never had any issues.

Key options for the app become unavailable with no explanation at odd times. Now the app has been completely unavailable for over a 24 hour period that was supposedto take 5 hours. Unacceptable. ADDED 9/12/2025 App is still absolute trash, always at least 1 aspect of the app doesn't work, or its unavailable altogether. STILL! It literally has one job which is mobile banking. Absolute trash.

edit: I just got signed out and forced to re enroll in biometrics 4 separate logins in a row. again, no other app does this. I'm legit thinking of switching banks just because logging in is so troublesome with this app. I've been a customer for many years but this is getting old. pnc seriously needs to fix their app. App could benefit from a dark mode. edit to add it still constantly tells me biometrics are unavailable

Well it worked briefly back in May giving me hope and now it's unusable again. Previous: ----- Horrible. It was a solid app that did all that I expected it to do. Now, it's horrible. First they took away international support so that you couldn't use the app overseas even with a VPN. As a military family stationed abroad this means we can't access our accounts. Now with the latest update the app doesn't even launch.

For the last several days I have been repeatedly trying to get into the app to check my balance but it immediately shows a message that I'm not connected to the Internet and won't let me log in. I am on a good Internet connection so there's clearly a problem with the app. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted my device, cleared the cache, no matter what I do it won't let me get past that message and log in. I am not sure what to do now. Just awful

Can't update the app after 8/2025 update. The user interface isn't great. Processing times aren't accurate for transfers within the PNC bank account for checking and savings every transaction is pending excessively long. They also do not have good customer service, tech support after numerous issues with the bank, app and online login issues among other issues.

Ever since PNC updated their website to their online banking, I've had issues with both the website and app. The bill pay reminders disappeared, and I can't add them back. The app keeps freezing, and some bills have been paid late, despite the fact I pay them before they are due. I've contacted PNC on multiple occasions with no resolution. It's very frustrating to the point that I'm starting to consider a new bank.

after logging in, it will often just shut off. I am asked to take a pic of my check multiple times till it registers it (I've tried all kinds of ways to get it to work the first time). half the time I go to login, it's either being worked on or says it's temporarily out of service for the time and I have to try again later. it's not a reliable app at all. if you need to check something right away, don't bother.....going to a bank might just be quicker. what's the point in the app then?

The PNC app has some positives but doesn't hold a candle to other banking apps. It appears to be an old design with a lot of silly errors. For instance, bill pay is useless in many ways. Setting up electronic payments fails for many vendors that worked flawlessly on Chase. Error codes are generic and unhelpful. Scheduling payments is the worst. The app is smart enough to tell you that a bill can't be sent in time if you pick a date too soon but infuriatingly won't block those dates.

When the app works, it does most of what you would want out of a banking app. I frequently am unable to log in due to "No Network Connection" when I am on multi-gigabit Wi-Fi or getting errors within the app when trying to deposit funds. Biometrics also frequently reset and you have to set it back up often. If they could fix those bugs, it would be a totally usable banking app. As-is, it's pretty hard to continue using PNC.

This app is super buggy. The biometrics works when it feels like it. The accuracy of items pending lags. it will show me balance and I have enough to spend but then surprise surprise it is not updated. Searching for charges for vendor isn't a thing. It is the worst app ever. Last weekend there was supposed to be upgrade. Nope. Today it doesn't even login in routinely. it's so frustrating.

Pretty easy to deposit a check by phone, though limits seem low. Sending money by Zelle: if one enters text for an optional reason, and then goes back to edit the amount (for example, recognizing an error in the amount), the text is discarded and lost and requires retyping (unless one copies it to the clipboard first) ... why so unhelpful?

This app cannot remember biometrics, refuses to show my info between midnight and 4a, especially on weekends, and has frequent issues just getting a cursor to appear in the username and password fields. Their website is not much better. I have been with this bank since 2000 and these issues started about 2 years ago with no improvement. I will be leaving this year due to these tech failings, which sucks because they are pretty good at being a bank.

Generally a good banking App. Good alerts, Zelle integration is easy. Would be nice to see more details about individual transactions the way AMEX does. I'm on a Samsung S20 in power saving mode and I don't have any of the problems others are reporting. it does seem to log me out quickly (5 minutes), but most of what I do only takes a few minutes, and I kill the app once I'm done.

When I'm actually in the app it's perfectly fine, but logging in is becoming such a hassle. I wish I could post a picture of the login screen. It keeps deleting my biometric data and when I put my password it just bugs out. I've started needing to actually delete and reinstall the app to make it work. It's gotten worse over the last couple months. Hoping there's a fix to it soon. I usually never review, but it's getting bad.

The app more often than not when I go to open it, I see the PNC logo but nothing becomes of it for like nearly a minute before my phone asks if I want to wait for the app to respond or close. If I hit close and then reopen it, I'm taken to the login page right away but only after waiting for the option to make the page close and reopen it. This needs to be fixed.

Like many have stated, this app used to be good, but I've been getting the I've been logged out message and I need to sign back in, even though when I'm done with the app I go and sign out. it still causes me to have to log in twice. Also it randomly disables my biometrics and when I try to log in to enable them, it gets real buggy when I enter my user name then go to enter the password it clears out the username. please fix this app.

Overall, a slick, useful and relatively well-designed app, at least visually. Code-wise, the app is quite busted to say the least. it gives false "service not available" warnings, crashes, or logs me out almost every time I try to access my accounts, and keeps deleting my biometric data. This has been an issue as long as I've been with PNC, but got a lot worse a couple months ago with one of the updates. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

This app genuinely sucks so bad. The app is always buggy, it's slow, and sometimes it just crashes. I, along with many others, get logged out for no reason. It's not too much of a hassel, but it makes me just go back to cash app for transactions. Recently, I was deposited 600 bucks but then 100 of it just vanished the next day like nothing happened. It wasn't on the transactions or anything. Genuinely feels like I got robbed. I would highly advise anyone else to use a credit union or paypal.
