Great App. Wish the quizzes were more modular. Not a lot of options for configuration Yes. Presently, you can only choose to go with 10 questions. I'd like to be able to choose the number of questions I'm committing to go through. Whether or not your average user would benefit from the extra option is difficult to say, but I definitely would
Reviews for Pocket Prep IT & Cybersecurity
Great study tool for CompTia exams. The explanations also cite the spot in the book where they got the questions from which makes it a very accurate study guide as opposed to some of the tests on udemy which are hard for the sake of hardness. I wish the desktop/web version was more similar to this app. I miss seeing the community scores after a quiz to see if it's me or the quiz!
I like the new app but the pricing is very expensive. I honestly miss the old app pricing where you could just buy the questions for like $24.99 for each exam and then I could continuously use them to study. I bought a few exams from Pocket Prep such as CompTia A+, CompTia Network + they were great. I hope pocket Prep takes a different approach in pricing, there's no way I'm paying $20 a month for material that is redialy available from Mike Myers, Jason Dion and Udemy.
app has been so helpful with just the free version, I want to buy the subscription because its such a great app for study
This is really cool, there are some changes I would make so that the website and the app version will be more synchronous, there are a few options (like time mode/study mode) where on desktop I can bring it down to one minute but on mobile it's 5 minutes. Also missed question on the mobile show up but not on desktop, is this a bug? but overall great app, and I'm on track to getting my CompTIA Security+
Amazing app, but I wish they had a section that was purely flashcards for terms and definitions.
After completing Pocket Prep 100%, Study guides, and other material, I successfully passed my CISSP exam. I don't think I could have done it without Pocket Prep.
The quizzes are very unreliable. Many are outdated, and also contain questions that are completely irrelevant to the corresponding exam. Looks like they just blindly pick random stuff from the book and put it in the bank. Waste of time. Maybe if they actually took the time and effort to make the questions RELEVANT to the exam objectives, this could be a great app. Hope this gets forwarded to the team handling the questions and fixed soon, because this is very counterproductive.
Many errors in the questions. Too expensive. Not worth it.
I am going through the cism questions as we speak and I have found a number of questions that ask you alternative names for certain terms when the alternatives are never mentioned at all in the references page(s). An example of this is "what is another name for resource pooling"...yes, resource pooling is mentioned, but nowhere in the book does and alternative name get mentioned. In short, the writer is really really "reaching" in the justifications for some questions. Needs work.
