I've used this app on and off since the Lake Trio and put money into buying Auto Join coins. Auto Join is pretty much the only way to get into hot raids (no judgement here). But the Auto Join feature is very spotty. Roughly 70% of the time after my spot in the long queue (sometimes tens-of-thousands) gets to the low double digits, I'll get bumped back to the start of the queue, forcing me to wait hours again ... and sometimes it will bump me back to the start again. Most of the time I just give up and regret spending money on this app. When it works, though, it works very well.
Reviews for PokeRaid - Worldwide Remote Ra
← Back to PokeRaid - Worldwide Remote RaSo I'd like to add my two cents. If you're like me with very few real life friends who play and don't have Facebook, this app is an absolute must have. I've gone through legendary raids across the globe without knowing anyone in game. It's free unless you take advantage of the reserve a raid deal or the auto join function. And so long as you have a decent connection, you can refresh the main page until you find a raid. It's been amazing for me seeing as it's allowed me to complete 5 star raids.
I really enjoy the app and being able to match with people around the world to get raids done. However, I can not give it 5 stars due to the auto join feature, making it so difficult for people who don't wanna pay for coins to get into raids. Sometimes, it takes me hours to get into a raid because auto fill almost makes it impossible. I have talked to multiple other people who agree with me.
it's a bit difficult to navigate at first but once you get the hang of it , it works great . it's also the only way I've found to do remote raids since they nerfed the campfire app . but if you are looking for a solution to the campfire app not working anymore then look no further . this is the only one I have found that works . it's confusing but it works , hope you guys catch that shundo legendary !!! have fun!
I initially downloaded this app on a whim, not really expecting it to help a lot more with finding raids in comparison to campfire, but hopeful that I'd be proven wrong. Oh boy, was I proven wrong. It's shockingly easy to find and join raids, and I haven't lost a single raid I've joined through Pokeraid, since we always have enough people to take down the pokemon with relative ease. Definitely recommend!
Update: while the fact that some users abuse the privilege of this app, after losing coins to hosts that didn't invite everyone, I wrote to the creator of the app to complain. They were able to confirm that I wasn't invited after paying 50 coins, and they refunded the coins I lost. While it may be hard, or impossible, to stop this from happening, at least their response to correct the situation's effects on me were commendable
Does it work? Yes, very well. I have been able to find help to get many of the 5 star raids. The loading times are an issue, though. 5 seconds to load a page, so by that time, the raid is full, pushing for auto join, which costs 50 coins, so you end up using them fast. There's no indication you've been put in a room unless you stare at the screen, so you can accidently end up spending more than you intend sometimes.
It's good. But the fact that there's no way to kick someone that is not responding, especially when we need to redo a raid is a real struggle. Not only that, I can't find a way to adjust the lobby count after the room has been created. And I've dealt with 3 raids in a row today where people joined and then left after we started the invites near the end of the raid timer really sucks. A lot of these issues are caused more by the people that use the app, but it gives a sour taste to the app.
It's OK. I'm having to write down the trainer code and open the GO app and type it in. I can't figure out how to scan the trainer's QR code or copy and paste the code. With a little bit of work and perseverance, I was able to participate in 2 battles, win and complete my tasks in GO. I'm running into quite a few closed battles, I had to keep trying & look for something open. On the up side this app pays you just for opening it every day, just what I needed another app to manage. Lol.
Love this app! I'm now the proud trainer of several legendary and mega evolved Pokemon, that simply wouldn't be possible for me without the app! The app ensures that only the needed amount of players, that are strong enough, enter the raid room. That way you aren't stuck with a bunch of invites and unsure of who was first in line and short on time. It's the quickest and easiest method compared to the other available options, for people like me, who don't have a bunch of raiding buddies.
At first it was a pain to try and join a lobby. If more hosts would simply learn how to invite 10 players instead of the standard 5, it would greatly improve the wait time players are currently encountering to join a lobby. There is an obvious trick to find open lobbies any time. My only complaint, other than the occasional bug (which is to be expected) with such a new app is I'm spending more than I should on damn micro transactions💩💩💩 for remote raid passes.
I'm pretty annoyed that I ended up in about 5 different rooms where the host was unresponsive. Any other time I couldn't join because they would fill up ridiculously fast, even if I seemingly got in there first. This app basically requires you to purchase coins and use auto-join. And apparently you're not even guaranteed a working room with that! Because I ended up wasting 50 coins waiting on a room that never worked! Because, once again, the host was unresponsive!
I like this app so far. Its much easier to use now than it was years ago. The downside is having to pay for auto join, and then staring at your phone for a long time, or waiting forever to get in if you don't do auto join. I also just hosted my first raid, someone backed out after the room filled and I sent my invites. This allowed for a new person to jump in, but I didn't see her. I wish there was a notification for those things because I unintentionally left someone out.
Not a bad app if you want to get an early access to new raid legendaries. The only thing I hate about this is joining a room during new legendary release. It doesn't allow me to join as quickly, which allows other players to take the spot. The loading would somehow stop after the room filled up. It doesn't happen when the number of people using the app decreased. It made me think that the loading, which prevented me from joining quickly, was obviously intentional.
I used to love the app, but then the verification was needed and honestly, its complete bull! Every time I try to join a raid, it says that my level isn't high enough (lvl 30), but then I look at the list of players that have joined, and I see 25, and I see a couple 20s. How the hell did they get in but I couldnt?? This verification feature needs to be taken down as soon as possible.
This app is great. Sometimes you are next to a gym where you cant get enough people to fight in a tough raid or just found a raid but dont have enough people to beat it. Its a simple invite or join (you just need remote raid if you're joining or if you cant reach the gym during the time). There is even a rating system but it can be broken at sometimes. There are a few issues, some being when you go into a group and the host doesn't invite the people at all. But other than that, its great!
So, I gave this app 3 stars for one reason. I've had an excellent experience up until a day ago when I queued up for an Uxie raid room, there were over 7,400 players ahead of me. No worries, I waited. So I kept the app up for over 24 hours waiting on my turn. When the counter got down to 32 players ahead of me the app kicked me out of the queue and when I went back to see if my spot was held, there were 4100 more players ahead of me. Absolutely ridiculous.... they need a reservation system..
I use this app a lot since I can't get out much, but because rooms fill up so quickly, it's hard to find an open room with enough open spaces to join. If there is 5 spaces open, multiple people could be trying to join at once so it's hard to join a small room. I usually try to join a 10 player or more lobby, but they don't come up that often. If you could add a filter to only show rooms with certain player slots like bigger row only, I would rate 5 stars.
Edited 3/8/21. After sending feedback regarding failed auto join attempts due to bad hosts, I received a timely response as well as my coins refunded after getting the details of the occurances. I am very pleased they took the time to not only compensate me but do so in a timely fashion. That being said, this app will eventually need you to drop money into it in order to keep raiding. There are some different ways to gather the in app coins but that will eventually dry up. Overall, not bad.
I downloaded it yesterday to be able to raid regional pokemon, I immediately logged out and removed the app. It costs coins to be able to raid on top of already having to purchase remote passes. There are also tons of ads that were popping up non-stop. Bummed! It seems like it would be great to use for special occasions, but I found myself frustrated pretty quickly, and it wasn't worth it. There are better apps for remote raiders that won't cost money. May be great for others, just not me.
