Description
Been using Polymarket for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you bet on real-world events and see how the odds are changing in real-time based on breaking news and major events. Pretty cool if you’re into following current affairs and want a different take on the usual polls and pundits.
Here’s what you do – you can check out different ‘markets’ on things like elections, COVID, the economy, etc. and see the current odds. And there’s also a feed where you can see the latest news and discussion around each market. And if you want, you can place your own bets and try to profit from your predictions. Takes a bit of getting used to but it’s a fun way to stay informed.
Look, if you’re into tracking current events and like the idea of ‘prediction markets’, you’ll probably get a kick out of Polymarket. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little clunky and the onboarding process isn’t super intuitive. But overall it’s a solid app that brings some unique insights. Worth checking out if you’re curious.
Editor Opinion
So here's my take on Polymarket. I've tested a bunch of news and current events apps, and this one definitely stands out. I like how it takes a different approach by tapping into the 'wisdom of the crowds' through a prediction market model. In my experience, the insights you get are generally more accurate and up-to-date than traditional polls. The real-time odds changes are pretty fascinating to follow. And
That said, the app itself has some room for improvement. The design and UX could be a lot smoother, and the learning curve for new users is steeper than it needs to be. I also wish there were more markets and event types to bet on. But overall, if you're into this kind of thing, I'd say Polymarket is worth giving a shot. It's a unique take on getting your news and analysis.

User Reviews
The app only displays the concluded US presidential race, and clicking on items opens webpages in a browser. I'm curious about the app's purpose.
The APP is nothing more than a GUI, to view status of some trades. It has no functionality and you can't place bets, trades or do anything with your account.
Doesnt actually do anything. Only have election interface, doesnt have any account or settings buttons, and all UI presses will take you to the embed of the actual polymarket website....
