Reviews for Pose Tool 3D

this app meets all my needs as an artist and then some. It is worth every single penny. You still need to understand how bodies work and how they move, but this app allows you to take that understanding and apply it to create invaluable aids for illustration. 12/10, so very very worth it. Recommending to every artist I know.

UPDATE: 2024.2.29 Please fix the permissions with this app. The "screenshot" function no longer works and there's no photos showing up in the phone's gallery. "Upload background" doesn't work either. I checked the permissions setting in my phone and the Gallery isn't denied, but the app doesn't prompt to use its permission too. ______ I bought this when I was still in college and all the features have improved so so much! One of the best apps to help with drawing for sure.

EXCELLENT. I've had this app since 2014, and this new major update has brought it back in line with its new competitors that have appeared over the years. If you want a serious yet user-friendly reference, this is your app. No silly manga gimmicks, no needless menu pages, but plenty of actual useful features right from the start. The only wishlist I have for it is to add a Loomis wireframe overlay ;) ... Great job guys!

This app was already great but the latest update made it 10 times better. The accurate lighting is something I've been wanting for a while and now we finally have it. And the previews for saved poses makes things so much easier. Can't wait to use this with my next drawing.

I love the new features and additions, and the expressions feature plus it being available across the different models is wonderful! It adds whole new possibilities for emotional scenes The preset poses are great too, especially if you need somewhere to start to make a specific idea you need it's a time saver Thank you for all the work put into making this a powerful pose tool for artists, truly one of the best posing apps I've used

When I first got this app, it was a big fish in a small pond. Years later, the lack of kinematics, lighting/camera options make it feel outdated. It still does what it does and has even made some improvements over the years, but the user experience could use an overhaul.

Love the App, WELL WORTH the investment for concept artists needing to find the perfect pose reference. The one thing I would Love to see is The Lighting styles and size of the source lighting. More importantly the facial Expressions would be great to mess with..much like moving a muscle I would Love to move the Mouth and tense up expressions or maybe play with 2 or 3 preset expressions maybe. Key here, Presets...those would be fun to have in the arsenal.

When I first downloaded this app I was using 6 different pose apps for references. With the updates I was able to down my usage to only this and one more app. The only thing missing , for me to use this app exclusively for all my projects and studies would be if it had premade poses. Even if not necessary, being able to cut down time by having poses to choose from and edit them is a game changer and time saver. Other than that, totally recommend it. Best app out there for students and artists.

It's pretty good but loading the saved pose option is a bit buggy. The loading logo gets stuck on the middle of screen and it'll only disappear once I restart the app. Also, the saved models doesn't load completely like, all of the cosmetics that are on the model just disappears. Edit: Another bug I found is that the shadows also disappears after using a filter

Generally decent, with a few problems. The biggest I ran into is that the hips move the entire model instead of the pelvis. This was a huge problem for me when trying to arrange most poses involving the lower body. Other issues I had were an awkward UI and unintuitive, cramped menu, but other than that, not bad.

It's a decent pose maker, but it's definitely not worth the money. Plenty of free pose makes offer multiple figures at once as well as props. Not only that, but this maker has rather disproportionate figures and unrealistic movements of certain parts. It's very difficult to get a desired pose. I wouldn't waste money on this, find a better one for free.

Would like to see different age groups added so we can study a scene of figures of different age groups and heights. Think that will be an important thing to get in. Being able to have models of different age groups that are shorter etc. Would also love if we can get some buildings or houses in, ships, cars to study the figures size in relation to those objects. In fact that would be the ultimate because no one has done that.

It'd be nice for more symmetry if we could edit a body part and be able to mirror the position on the opposite limb. Also being able to move things just a tiny bit quicker.

Best app I have used for modeling. It's easy to use, you don't have to pay for nothing in the app. There is multiples forms and options to use. The only flaw is there isn't hand or body presents; you will have to move the body parts yourself. A suggestion is that you should make anime models. Overall, you should pay for this app if you want good help on your drawings or etc.

Okay posing app if it was free, really bad for the price. There needs to the option to add clothes (even just underwear), edit facial expressions and a mirror tool for limbs. Other models such as animals, vehicles, furniture and even buildings and fantasy elements would be great. Tried adding a background from my gallery numerous times, doesn't work....Disappointed

Excellent app. I'm a technical artist so find this very useful for conceptual work. There are a few things I hope the developers will be able to add. 1- Poseable faces. At the moment, we're stuck with a single expression. 2- The option to add clothing. And finally, I'd like to see perhaps a Sten, MP40, Kar98K and an M14 or M16 etc etc added. Lots of melee weapons but very thin on the ground with regards to WW2 or the Cold War. Overall though, one of the best apps in its class.

Very nice application 5 stars , just what I was looking for. I wish there were some extra options that make this the best there is out there .Like colored texures for the muscle or other models or that you can hide specific models groups. Or a photo import or camera that creates new poses. I know it's challenging to program all those. But as an artist myself, I would love to think and contribute how to make this amazing app even better. Good job, creators !

Great app! I've been using it to help with my art for months now, the only thing is is that its lacking. There are no background props to place (I.e beds, couches, motorcycles, ect) or animals, and most importantly, for me because of what I draw, is child and teenage models. Having more age models can help a ton, I need it so bad and want to use this app but its lacking those so I had to use other apps. Unless this adds those I can't really use this for everything

This the app to have if you're a serious art student or illustrator. An excellent way to setup a quick pose and get all of the output needed for useful reference. Mannequins, silhouettes, perspective guide, muscle and bone landmarks, even major lines and gesture. I've read some critical reviews about lack of backgrounds, props, and other embellishments. All of that is clutter and cheap nonsense. What you need is great anatomical pose reference. This is it. Worth way more than 99 cents.

I love this app! For simple animation reference, it's great. Don't expect bells and whistles, after all you can photo yourself or a model with whatever clothes/props and lighting you need for detailed reference for painting or whatnot. This is a great app for when you're at work and you need help with a pose but can't photo yourself or get reference another way. For example browsing the internet is banned for me at work and sometimes I just can't photo myself at work for reference.
