This is, by far, the most unusable restaurant app. The user interface is terrible. The potbelly employees know: they tell me to write what I want in the comment section. Furthermore, it pops up notifications that say "Did you know...", l click on the notification to read what it is trying to tell me, and it takes me to the app , which displays nothing about the notification. I try just to use it to get points when in store, but It does seem to be giving me credit. If you...

The payment option is terrible. It supposedly links or saves your card but needs to be reentered each time. Plus a card saved on phone with Google enters all the info quickly but the expiration date that Potbelly app uses is a different field type. So trying to order something quickly at a stoplight (or wherever), which should be easy becomes pulling over and fighting with the payment aspect. The rest of the app is fine.

Potbelly food is great, the app... Not so much. Pure trash. The last several times I've tried to get on to use it, it has said that online ordering is temporarily unavailable. I uninstalled and reinstalled to see if it was just buggy, and now I can't even sign into my account because the app is getting an error message when I try to login. Do better devs.

Still doesn't take all gift cards. For some reason, Potbelly sells some gift cards with 16 digits and some with 19 digits. For YEARS, the app has only accepted the 16 digits cards. Potbelly, please fix this! It's incredibly annoying that I can't use my gift cards on the app. The app is great otherwise, but this knocks it down to 3 stars.

My last order was 3 days ago. Now, neither the app nor the website are letting me log in. I know they have access to my Perks account because I was sent an email survey, took it, and received the code for a free cookie. Now if you'd just let me log in to my account so I don't lose my points, that'd be great. P.S. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and reset my password; nothing works.

Dec 2021: Big marketing push to sell gift cards at the end of every year. Needs to be easier to use them. Expand the app to accept more than one gift card on an order so users aren't left with small balances on cards that can get lost. Allow users to store gift cards in the app. Aug 2023: low ratings due to earlier gift cards issues. They run BOGO offers distract the user to click the free sub offer from their points rather than BOGO, it's happened to me twice. Might need to part ways in 2024!!

I would be happy to give this a better score except for one easily fixable problem: when i click 'pay', it brings me to QR code that does not 'pay'. The default value is something about getting points, but you have to know to drag left or right (no labelling) to get to the 'pay' QR code. I just told you I wanted to pay! It's happened twice at the store with people lined up behind me and it's nothing but confusion.

The delivery option is why I rated this app so low. I added all the food to my order, went to checkout, opted to register an account, added my payment method, went to submit, and the app said I needed to choose a delivery time. Oh okay, no problem... or so I thought. It was at this point that the app decided to inform me that there were no delivery times available until the next day. Really? Whatever. I'll just choose the pick up option. Nope. The app doesn't even let you pay and switch top a pick up option. So, this app was worth a waste of 10 min for nothing. We love Potbelly, so we went and stood in line. App sucks.

App previously worked like a charm when I was ordering 2 times a week, but I haven't been able to get past the home page with "order now" in over 6 months. Attempted a reinstall and it isn't even getting installed any more (Pixel 3). At this point, I'm calling it quits and finding somewhere else to order from. As much as I enjoy the food, the app instability makes it simply not worth my time.

Zero. Your update is awful. 403 forbidden errors constantly. Can't load anything, can't sign in, can't reset password, can't contact customer support. All 403 errors. It's been a couple weeks. You took a great app and screwed it up unbelievably. Still 403 forbidden errors when I try to contact customer service or the FAQ section from the app. You can't see loaded gift card amounts anymore and many menu items now are missing and can't be ordered from the app- only available at the counter.

Doesn't work. You can only place orders, not look and explore. You can only add a payment method at checkout. So if you Credit Card expired, you have to wait until you want to order to update the information. And forget about using a gift card. I always get, unable to find balance. Update, as you can see, the developer did reply. I raised the score by 1 star. I made a phone app order and the gift card wit through flawlessly. Now if only you could save the card for the next use.

Now they've fixed the menu issue, but the credit card portion still doesn't work right. Everytime I place an order, I have to re-enter my credit card info, even though it's valid. Recently, this cause an order to be canceled without me knowing. Fix your app!! As of 8/24/2023, still a problem, canceled my order 15 mins after placing, while I was driving to location. I guess other establishments want my money instead.

This company has had trouble with their app for some time now. They just can't get it right. I noticed they had a recent update so I decided to try it out. I wasted 20 minutes of my time trying to navigate through crashes only for it to not accept payment at the end of my order. I put in 2 cards for payment and it would automatically scroll up to where the add card tab is as if I didn't enter my card. This happened over and over again. I give up. Awful app.

With the latest update to the app, you now have to start your order over if you want to set a later time on the order. Got a saved favorite and want to order it for later? Too bad, you'll have to enter it again. Sometimes payment won't go through, but you'll still get your receipt and everything will seen fine until you show up at the store and they don't have your order. Please bring back the old app!

This app is terrible at reading locations. It never assumes you are ordering from the potbelly's closest to you. It just picks random happenstance potbelly's in the area. This last time, it decided I must be ordering from a potbelly's nowhere near me. I have never had this issue with any other restaurant app. I will not be ordering from this place again.

There's a recurring problem with this app. It's connected to the Potbelly Perks rewards system, and occasionally you earn a free sandwich. Sounds great, right? NO. I 'm ordering for two people, so if one of the sandwiches is free, you get an error that says your order does not meet the minimum amount for delivery. THERE IS NO OPTION TO DECLINE THE FREE SANDWICH AND PAY INSTEAD. I need it delivered, I can't go pick up, so I have to order stuff I don't want to reach the minimum delivery price.

Horrible app, great food. Need to outsource the design of the application. It does not record your last 4 orders. The reward has fountain and bottle but does not give you an option for fountain. Hard to use. It does not allow you to easily change the order, or the place the order is placed. It does not have any intelligence to realize that a place is inside an airport behind security and probably most people won' order from there. It does not have a default location like every other app for food

yikes, what a bad update/redesign. Pages are slow to load, the ordering process is much more convoluted, and buttons are buggy. The previous version had a unique design/style and actually worked, but now it's soulless and doesn't work very well. Will not be ordering food or using this app for a good while.

really bad interface. they offer a 10% off coupon it says online but then they give you an option to redeem in store. I presented it and was told it would not work. why do you offer redeem in store option if not to fool the customer. the cashier said tons of people have been tricked. there are plenty of honest sandwich shops out there. skip this one.

I love Potbelly but the app still needs work. The cart and payment options in the app are inconsistent at best. At times I have been offered promotions that couldn't be redeemed, and at other times I have been unable to complete the transaction (via Google Pay) due to an error. I've seen recent improvements, but I still get stuck and end up clearing out my cart due to frustration. It's unfortunate, but these errors result in me switching to a competing sandwich shop whose app works better.
