4 stars cause of ads that appear when you start the app or game. The PPSSPP doesn't do that. there are no ads at all on that. You can use a controller on here. You just have to mess with the settings to get it going. I tried because i wanted to play bigger games than the psp ones, which i enjoy too. Mostly Fps because Fps on the psp suck. Fps requires 2 joysticks, no argument. Unless you enjoy the complex movement and lack of aiming. But I tried Silent Hill 2, ran smooth. I have a Galaxy A14.
Reviews for PPSS22 Emulator - PS2 Emulator
← Back to PPSS22 Emulator - PS2 EmulatorIt's good depending on which game you're playing. When I play X-Men Legends or Marvel Nemesis, the app glitches. With X-Men Legends, the whole app crashes and brings me to the home screen. When I'm playing Marvel Nemesis, it freezes before I can play the story mode or a versus match. The app works so far with Fantastic Four and Catwoman. I tried reaching out to customer service for assistance over a week ago, but I haven't gotten a response.
an exelent emulator, probably the best out there. but there is no paid version to get rid of ads. please it needs a way to get those ads off, as I many would pay for it for sure. I would have given this a 10 stars if was possible as long such app have option to pay for ads free. I there is the option to do it I could not find it. I might change the review if this gets upgraded other than that for those who do not wanna pay sure this is the best emulator for ps2, the ads are not annoying so far.
the play store made this app so useless. it's constant ads, you do anything and you get hit with multiple ads that you have to wait to skip, and then there are 3 back to back. I'm going to find a version not on the play store.
I LOVE THE APP! ever since I accidentally broke my old PS2 I wanted to play some classics like gow 1 and 2 and also GTA San Andreas. I never thought I would be able to play them again because I was broke but I found this! now I can download any PS2 game I want and play it on here. absolute 5 stars!
Plays everything I have tried to load thus far smooth as butter. No stuttering on FFX, Dr muto, pac man world 2 or even kingdom hearts! And the fact it runs not only on my android but my brothers different model of android as well is more than reason enough to merit a five star rating. Nothing else has come close to this performance on these devices in the past!
It's good... BUT! So it works well, so much so I thought I'd pay for premium to support dev and remove advers. However you pay and it just takes you to another app to pay for which is readily available on the store for free. That app then warns you it's free and you should request a refund if you've been tricked into paying, this app also has ads!
I've actually been blown away by the performance of this emulator. I've been using it with my razer kishi rather than touchscreen controls, which makes it 1000x better. Silent hill 2 has been running perfectly on my pixel 7 pro. Only thing I would like to see is a pair ad free versionz although it's not a total deal breaker. Just a 1 minute and when you first load the game but no interrupting during gameplay.
The best PS2 emulator since AetherSX2 closed but has problems. 1) the performance on the 2 gran tourism titles make them unplayed in some races, AetherSX2 never had this issue. 2) doesn't support .chd ISO files the main format for PS2 ROMs. 3) the interface is truly awful, like 2010s awful It doesn't show your game library like every other emulator and loading another game is a pain. 4) the ads are jarring and ruin an otherwise good effort. Overall it's worth a go but so much to improve on.
Plays everything ive thrown at it so far, from Romance of the Three Kingdoms to Smackdown vs Raw 2010, DBZ Tenkaichi 3. All run smooth and at 2x native, OpenGL seems to be more stable than Vulkan 90% of the time. Ive even imported a superstar from ncaa08 to madden08, works just fine. Only thing i cant figure out yet is disc swapping for DW5 and DW5XL. Xbox One and PS4 controllers connect without any issue. There MIGHT be one ad when you first select a game, tbh I rarely see them.
Every game I have tried runs fine for about 5 minutes, then it shows an ad. I thought from other reviews "OK, watch the ad, skip it when I can, then done." This was not the case. Even after watching the ad, it would crash back to the "please rate 5 stars" and search iso screen. Even free that's total balls.
People, be wary before downloading apps like this one. After installing, I've been reporting major and ongoing battery drain as well as performance issues. The app might ask you to download its plugin afterwards, which seems to contain a Trojan. Be cautious of updates as well; they could introduce new viruses and put your device at risk at any time. Stay safe, everyone!
Brilliant Emulator. The best in terms of performance for Android. Other good emulators have struggled with the performance of certain games, and this one ran those same games smoothly (unfortunately Champions Of Norrath and Champions: Return To Arms don't work properly on any, at least on my device). Only one ad to watch to load the game, and even that not every time.
I'd honestly give it 3 an a half but I'll round up because at least you are trying, so there's no blue tooth controller feature like I'd hoped for, it's a lot less choppy than the competitor, seems to be the same product only better, but it's still choppy and not quite fully functioning but it's as good as it gets I think at least without of work on your own part. But at least you can have multiple games I think, I only tried one and the audio issues and framerate were bad, Ill keep it tho.
Hands down best emulator I've used. I've tried ps2 ones before and had some luck but with this app everything is easy and works great! I hardly leave reviews let alone 5 stars but the fact I can play Def Jam and Matrix path of Neo and my controller works extremely well with it right off the bat, I had to give credit where it's due! some games might run a little buggy, but the app has it set up to easily change graphic settings, controller settings, frame rates, etc. Well deserved 5 *!
If there isn't a version with no ads, then I don't want it. I can literally just use my PC to emulate PS2 with no ads, I just wanted to use this when I'm traveling. I guess RetroArch and Dolphin will hold me over until I'm at home. You should do the same thing Mupen64 did and make a paid version of the app. Don't even try to make no ads a subscription. I'd be willing to buy it for a one time purchase. Emulation seems good, but it isn't exactly what I want, so you don't get 5 stars from me.
Tried to play two games; First off there's no Bluetooth controller. Then the first game had rapid flashing lights which could and would've caused seizures for some, and the second game I couldn't progress because no R3 or L3 button input. I don't mind watching one ad as long as it doesn't interfere with gameplay, but I couldn't even play it that long to find out. Please fix and will give better review!
I LOVE IT! Plays just about every PS2 game flawlessly. Doesn't burn battery at all! Reminds me of Aethersx2, BUT BETTER! Very easy UI, easy to set things up. My only gripe? I want to buy the Premium version, but it's a bit much, in my opinion. a 4.99 price would be my price. Other than that, this is an amazing emulator
After a few attempts of going thru the settings, I was able to find the left and right analog stick. Made the game play ten times better. Was also happy that I found a feature that enabled multiple buttons to be pressed at the same time. Thought it was an automatic feature. Made the game play 100 times easier 🤣 4 stars because I heard blue tooth controllers don't work on this app saldy. Overall good app and grateful for the nostalgia.
Playing Angel of Darkness of all things, and it's working great so far. The buttons don't seem to want to be multi-touch if they are at all. If it had bt controller support, it would be 5 stars easily. I'd even pay a decent penny for it then. The screen controls are actually not bad either, considering screen controls for 3d games are usually infuriating. Good job there.
