Matches the written pretty well. But getting the manuals give more detail
Reviews for Prepware Powerplant
← Back to Prepware PowerplantThey combined to engine fuel and fuel metering systems now its a bigger section. It was better separate
Great product. Incredibly helpful. Wish it updated as fast as the Apple version of the app.
The app is nice and easy, but I wish in the test mode all the answers are highlighted so is will be very easy to read
Installed a few years ago and dissapeared. Tried reinstalling and it will not install. Need refund.
Gives the same test questions over and over. Doesn't mix anything up and doesn't provide a good explanation for the answer. Would not recommend.
It would be helpful if there was an option to submit corrections to questions with wrong answers.....because there are quite a few
This version is out of date. Please update. would have gave a higher score if it was. I can not use this if it out of date. I have to use the one on the computer when i would rather use this one.
Excellent to help you get your powerplant license. I got mine. The study and test are excellent. Statistics for scoring are a great help.Zero adds.
This version is out of date. Current version should be 1.49.1. It is missing a lot of current questions asked on the FAA exams. This needs to be fixed.
After spending $5 I cannot download it. Bought and downloaded the general and airframe version just fine. Will leave 1 star review until the issue is resolved.
The app is a great refresher tool but as a study tool it falls short since it seems to be the less updated of the prepware products. Hasn't been updated for 2022 but the books on Amazon has. Come on now.
Great App, I got my license for airframe and powerplant years ago but I used this app for studying. It's perfect for down time and whenever you are on your phone it's just convenient.
Missing a lot of questions. I took my FAA PowerPlant written Jan of 2021, and I'd say PrepWare only covered about 60-70% of the questions I was given. A lot of the existing questions had been reworded, but those are easy enough. Most of the questions not covered by this app can be figured out if you know the system, however the FAA written likes to ask specific and annoying questions that the only practical way of knowing is just memorizing. Which is a big disappoinment that they aren't covered.
Great app. Among the 3 A&P tests Power plant was the hardest for me so I'd suggest you spend 1 entire week (minimum) of multiple hours each day memorizing these questions. I didn't notice any questions on the test that weren't in this study app as was the case with the airframe test. Good luck testing!
It's a $5 app. Don't be expecting the world. you want crazy in depth explanations and useful graphics? Buy Dauntless. You want the bare minimum to pass your written exam? Well here you go :)
While the app is wonderful in regards to how much info it contains (like how it explains some of the theory behind the answers), it could benefit greatly by adding some new modes... I would propose what I'll call the "recycle" mode: after completing a section, the app automatically "recycles" to questions you didn't get right the first time through, and repeats this process until you get them all right. PLEASE add this feature! It would be amazing!!
The mobile app leaves so much to desire for. It sounds like the PC version has all the nice features. I just wished they would pass it on the the app. Additionally, the Android version is more expensive than the app for iPhones, and you have to pay amd download the General, Airframe, and PP separately. What gives?
Decent study app. Doesn't allow to choose individual sections like just the fuel injection chapter of the book. You have a fuel metering systems and another type of fuel system test, but I'm just looking for fuel injection problems. Dauntless is a much better study app and goes into way more detail and is updated often. But it is more expensive. Worth it if you'll get better experience and more current questions.
The last update is horrible 😔, when you select " Grade Quiz " then you open any question you won't be able to read it.
